Abstract/Summary:
With the development of Internet of Things technology,the era of the Internet of everything is coming.As one of the core technologies of the Internet of Things,wireless communication technology develops rapidly.Infrared,Radio frequency,Bluetooth,Wi-fi and other wireless communication technologies have been applied to daily life.Infrared communication technology as one of the early wireless communication technologies,now the technology is very skilled,compared with other wireless communication technology,infrared communication with low power consumption,low cost and strong anti-interference ability,has always occupied a place in the field of wireless communication.In this thesis,the principle of the whole infrared transceiver system is deeply understood,including the basic principle of the infrared transmitter,the coding protocol of the infrared transmission signal,the working principle of the infrared receiver chip,etc.Then,the infrared receiver chip is systematically studied,the structure of the infrared receiver chip is given,and the design indexes of the chip are proposed.Then the module circuit of the chip architecture is designed,including adaptive I-V conversion circuit,preamplifier,automatic gain amplifier,limiting amplifier,bandpass filter,decoding circuit and bias circuit,etc.The amplifier current can be reduced by increasing the output impedance of the amplifier.The current of the bandpass filter and decoding circuit can be reduced by decreasing the capacitance.The circuit simulation software Virtuoso is used to import the target process library and conduct circuit simulation.According to the simulation results,the circuit is modified to make the circuit simulation results meet the design indicators.Nuvoton 0.5 μm CMOS process is used in this paper to realize circuit and layout design.The entire chip layout area is very small,only 329 μm*336 μm.The testing results of a tape-out showed that the chip has a wide operating voltage range,in 1.8V~5.5 V power supply voltage range can work normally.The current of normal operation is only 70 μA,which is far less than similar infrared receiver chips.The farthest receiving distance of the chip can reach 8 m,which meets the requirements of low-cost infrared applications.
