Project management was firstly applied to national defense projects,and then be widely used in other industries,such as construction industry,aerospace industry and other traditional industries.However,with the development of science and technology,the industry of Internet has ushered in a stage of rapid development,and a large number of excellent Internet companies have emerged in China,Including Alibaba,Tencent,Baidu,Byte Dance,Meituan,Didi Chuxing,etc.Internet projects are different from traditional construction or manufacturing projects in that they are short,flat,and fast,and their biggest feature is the pursuit of timeliness.Under the pressure of the rapid business development,the requirements for product research and development are higher,but the only requirement is:be quickly go online so that the business can occupy the market.Therefore,the goal of the Internet project is purer and more direct,and the most important thing is the time.In order to meet the project goal,various handling measures may be used during the project process,such as changing the scope of project requirements,adjusting project resources,or even reducing the quality of the project,so as to be able to exchange the results of the project progress online on time,and then continue to iteratively update.But the risks arising from those measures will also be huge.If there is no scientific project schedule management method,then the execution of the project will get out of hand,which may eventually cause project delays,poor project quality or even project failure.How to judge whether a project is successful,a simple summary is to meet or exceed the requirements of the project stakeholders(outcome&quality)within the specified time and cost.The time schedule is the most direct reflection of the successful project,and it is also an important feature of the project risk.This paper used the data center construction project in Didi as an example,and analyzes in detail the project’s problems,such as unscientific project duration estimation,unreasonable project resource allocation,low collaboration efficiency of the project members,irregular project requirement changes,and untimely adjust for the project schedule management.In response to fix the above problems,I studied the optimization measures and improvement plans of project schedule management,using modern project schedule management techniques such as Gantt chart,PERT,CPM,and CCPM,etc.By using the above methods,scientifically manage,control,implement,and monitor the data center construction project,establish a comprehensive and complete data center construction project schedule management system standard,and also provide a certain reference for similar projects in other industries/companies.
