| As one of the common activities in geography classrooms,classroom discussions are an important means of implementing quality education and highlighting the student’s main position.Under the background of geography curriculum reform,discussion activities guide students to develop their key abilities and comprehensive qualities through cooperation,communication,and thinking,and undertake the important responsibility of developing students’ core competencies of geography.In the research and practice of teaching,the study of discussion activities has made significant progress in terms of content,characteristics,and strategies.However,there is still a lot of research space on the characteristics and evaluation of classroom discussion activities in geography,therefore,it is of great significance to carry out the research on the effectiveness evaluation of geography classroom discussion activities in senior high school.From the theoretical level,it can improve the theoretical research on the evaluation of geography classroom teaching activities and the way of educating people,and from the practical level,it can promote the deepening and efficiency of geography classroom discussion activities,and promote the cultivation of the core competencies of geography.By means of literature research,Delphi method,classroom observation method,statistical analysis and other research methods,this paper attempts to construct an evaluation index system of the effectiveness of high school geography classroom discussion activities,analyzes the current situation of high school geography classroom discussion activities from the overall and specific aspects,and then puts forward strategies to improve the effectiveness of high school geography classroom discussion activities.This paper consists of six parts: first,combing relevant literature at home and abroad to clarify the research background,significance,ideas and methods;Second,define the relevant core concepts and elaborate the theoretical basis;Third,construct the evaluation system of the effectiveness of geography classroom discussion activities in high school.Fourth,use the evaluation system to diagnose the status quo of geography classroom discussion activities in high school;Fifth,in view of the existing problems,according to the implementation of discussion activities in the course of time to improve the effectiveness of high school geography class discussion strategies;Sixth,summarize the research conclusion,analyze the deficiency and put forward the research prospect.Through empirical research,the following conclusions are drawn: first,on the whole,the effectiveness level of high school geography classroom discussion activities is generally low,and the number of highly effective classroom discussion activities is small;skilled teachers perform better in high school geography classroom discussion activities than novice teachers;there is not much difference in the effectiveness of classroom discussion activities under different teaching contents.Specifically,there are still problems such as neglecting the collision of thinking and emotional infiltration in high school geography classroom discussion activities,lack of sufficient discussion time and orderly discussion grouping,uneven participation in discussions,lack of interaction and enthusiasm,and lack of effective discussion summary and evaluation.Second,strategies were formulated to improve the effectiveness of high school geography classroom discussion activities from the perspective of the time process of discussion,including the design of discussion,the implementation of discussion,and the summary and evaluation of discussion.These strategies include accurately positioning values,strengthening the concept of student main position;integrating thematic design,creating thinking-driven geography discussions;using diverse teaching resources to optimize discussion implementation paths;giving teachers a leading role to regulate the discussion process in an orderly manner;actively participating in discussion activities,creating a positive discussion atmosphere;guiding progressive thinking and carrying out staged summary;and paying attention to the process performance to implement developmental evaluation.It is hoped that these strategies can empower high school geography classroom discussion activities and promote efficiency. |
