A Study On Social Work Intervention Of Children’s Participation In The Construction Of "Friendly Space"

At present,the state is paying more and more attention to the healthy growth of children,and the child-friendly concept is gradually implemented.Children’s participation is one of the basic rights of children,and it is also the embodiment and guarantee of the child-friendly concept.Children’s participation in the construction of "child-friendly spaces" not only protects children’s rights,but also embodies the child-friendly concept.Children are one of the important service groups of social work.Social work has the historical mission of promoting children’s participation and child-friendly concepts.This paper takes the SFH community "children’s home" as a case study to examine how social work follows the child-friendly concept and mobilizes children to participate in the construction of "child-friendly spaces" in the community.Social work intervenes at the individual,interpersonal,and community levels to promote children’s participation in the construction of child-friendly spaces.At the individual level,it strengthens children’s awareness of participation and enhances children’s ability to participate;at the interpersonal level,it helps to form mutual support teams and improve children’s organization;at the community level,it actively mobilizes social resources and promotes children’s subjectivity.In addition,social workers invite professional design teams to provide important guarantees for the construction of spaces from children’s perspectives,and promote children’s active participation in decisions closely related to themselves to achieve the effectiveness of empowerment.Through social work interventions,children’s capacity for participation has increased,children have become significantly more organized,and the synergy of community participation has improved.However,institutional safeguards for children’s participation are still insufficient,which to some extent affects the realization of the concept of child participation and friendly spaces.
