Research On Social Work In Child Community Participation From Empowerment Perspective

Since the publication of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child,child participation has become an increasingly important issue in child development.The Outline of Children’s Development in China also emphasizes the right of children’s participation.It is necessary to create a favorable environment for children to participate in society,support and encourage children to join society,and promote children’s growth and development.However,as the future masters of the community,children are often excluded from the community participation groups,resulting in children’s awareness of community participation is not strong,the ability to participate is not enough,children’s potential is not fully developed,these are not conducive to the development of communities and children themselves.According to the current situation of children’s community participation,this study consulted the relevant research literature,combed and analyzed the existing research literature and summarized the current research results on children community participation.Taking the Children’s Council Project of a child-friendly demonstration community in Shenzhen as a case study,the implementation process of related services of the project is analyzed.The members of the community children’s council-children and their parents,project mentors,social workers,neighborhood committees,community workstations and other relevant personnel to observe and interview the impact of project services on children’s community participation,community residents’ understanding,attitude and evaluation of children’s participation,etc.Analysis of the empowerment effect of social work in promoting children’s community participation;The content,method and effect of social work intervention service are combed and summarized,and the shortcomings of the social work service in the process of promoting children’s community participation are analyzed.And on this basis,to further explore the perspective of social work to promote children’s community participation in effective countermeasures and suggestions,in order to provide useful experience and reference for social work related practice.
