After the reform and opening up,with the acceleration of the urbanization process,the economic development difference between urban and rural areas is obvious,a large number of rural young and middle-aged labor force migrate to cities,the number of left-behind elderly people in rural areas in China is increasing,and the aging problem in rural areas is increasingly serious.Since the party’s 19 report proposed implement the strategy of rejuvenating the country,governments at all levels to promote rural economic and social development,more huimin policy and resources service in rural areas,improve rural public infrastructure,effectively enhance the level of rural basic public services,to safeguard the development interests of the broad masses of farmers.Party’s 20 report pointed out to promoting rural revitalization,construction of livable appropriate industry and countryside,improve the social management system,improve the well-being of the people’s livelihood,improve people’s quality of life,improve basic public service ability,improve the rural left-behind elderly care service system,to actively respond to the aging population in rural areas provides the policy guarantee and favorable conditions.The spiritual life of the left-behind elderly in rural areas is extremely poor,and the long-term left-behind life makes them lack in family care,family warmth and interpersonal communication.The mental conditions of the elderly fails to fully care for,their spiritual needs are not effectively met,and they are generally faced with serious spiritual difficulties.Sound care service system of rural left-behind old people,optimize the rural left-behind elderly endowment service,deepen the social work service in rural areas,strengthen the construction of rural areas,make social work talents provide professional services for rural left-behind old people,strengthen the service of rural left-behind old man,attaches importance to the rural left-behind elderly spiritual needs,is conducive to improve the rural left-behind elderly quality of life,effectively promote solve the problem of the population aging in rural areas.Therefore,from the perspective of social work profession,it is the focus of this paper to analyze the effectiveness of the process involved in the satisfaction of the spiritual needs of the rural left-behind elderly.Based on the development achievements of domestic and foreign literature,this study analyzes the research status and development trend of the spiritual intervention of the left-behind elderly in rural areas.First of all,a questionnaire survey and interview of the local left-behind elderly in T village was conducted to understand the spiritual status of the left-behind elderly in rural areas and ensure that their spiritual needs were effectively evaluated.Secondly,centering on the spiritual needs of the rural left-behind elderly,the group service content is determined,and appropriate group work methods and skills are used to solve the spiritual needs of the rural left-behind elderly,enhance the self-help and mutual assistance ability of the rural left-behind elderly,and establish the emotional mutual assistance mechanism and peer support system.Finally,from the two aspects of result evaluation and process evaluation,the effectiveness of the group work to meet the spiritual needs of rural left-behind elderly people,summarized and reflected on the basis of practical intervention,and put forward targeted suggestions for practical intervention,so as to provide practical experience for the research of social work related fields.
