In recent years, there has been widespread concern about the physical health of primary school students, academic pressure, the financial burden of out-of-school training, and after-school supervision and education. In order to reduce students’ academic pressure and improve their physical fitness level, the State introduced and implemented the "Double Reduction" policy in 2021.The implementation of the "double reduction" policy requires the promotion of school education reform, and after-school sports services,as an important part of after-school services, play an important role in enhancing students’ interest in learning, strengthening their physical health and developing their practical skills.Although the implementation of the "double reduction" policy has reduced the pressure on students to study in and out of school and increased their time for after-school learning, students have more energy to study after-school sports, but there are still many problems in the process of implementation. Therefore,it is important to study the current situation of after-school sports services in Guiyang under the "double reduction" policy in order to promote the development of after-school sports services in Guiyang. This paper takes the current situation of the development of after-school sports services in 20 primary schools in Guiyang City as the research object, and uses literature, questionnaires, fieldwork, interviews and mathematical and statistical methods to investigate and study it.The current situation of the development of after-school sports services in primary schools in Guiyang City is obtained, the causes of the problems are analyzed, and strategies to solve the problems are proposed to provide a theoretical basis for the development of after-school sports services in Guiyang City, with the following conclusions:(1)After-school sports services in primary schools in Guiyang are well developed in the context of "double reduction",and all schools are able to selectively develop after-school sports services that are suitable for their own development, taking into account their own conditions and situations, and fully implementing the spirit of the "double reduction" document. The spirit of the "Double Reduction" document has been fully implemented.(2)In the context of the "double reduction",students have a reduced academic load both in and out of school and have more energy to participate in after-school sports activities. The programme has also had a positive impact on primary school students in Guiyang, with most of them enjoying sport more and developing their physical skills more after participating in after-school sports services.(3)In some primary schools in Guiyang, there is an uneven allocation of resources, such as a lack of venues and equipment, insufficient teachers and financial resources, resulting in a lack of diversification in the form of after-school sports services and a lack of content, which does not meet the diversified needs of students for after-school sports services;the teacher assessment mechanism has not been improved, and the participating teachers of after-school sports services come from a variety of sources. There are many sources of teachers and differences in teaching standards.(4)The service system in some schools is not yet complete, and there are still "loopholes" in the safety and security of students;teachers’ safety education for students is not comprehensive;students are not sufficiently aware of their own safety and protection, and there are safety hazards in the process of participating in after-school sports activities.(5)Parents are highly supportive of after-school sports services, and the number of students participating in after-school sports services has increased;however, the publicity of after-school sports services in schools is not strong enough and the publicity methods are single, and some parents have a low level of understanding of after-school sports services. |
