Labor is a practical activity that human could create material and spiritual wealth.People grow and develop themselves through labor activity in their lifetime.For3-6-year-old children,what labor competence should they have? How to evaluate their labor competence? How to scientifically cultivate their labor quality? Therefore,it is necessary to grasp the development level of their labor competence and understand the development rules and characteristics of their labor competence.As a result,it is essential to develop effective evaluation tools to carry out the work of evaluating 3-6-year-old children’s labor competence.The purpose of this study,which is based on the principles of psychometrics and combined with the behavior of children aged 3-6 in the actual labor situation in kindergartens,is to develop a scientific and operable evaluation tool for children’s labor competence of 3-6 years old.To ensure its scientificity,we used the multiple statistic analysis through observing children’s behavior and interviewing to obtain relevant labor competence date.On the basis of grasping the current research status of labor competence,this study used the Nvivo12.0 to code the important documents which are related labor competence in order to extract the general framework of evaluation tools.Then,the observation method was used to collect the behavior of 102 children in the labor situation of cleaning up large building blocks(such as charcoal burning building blocks).And the method of one-to-one interview with child was applied to obtain their labour concepts.Then we have a preliminary evaluation tool.Thirdly,the behavior of 426 children in the above-mentioned labor situation was observed,and the implicit labor competence indicators were interviewed.Then the date were scored and analyzed using SPSS 21.0 and AMOS 21.0.In this study,Item analysis was carried out to delete items with low correlation;Exploratory factor analysis to adjust and optimize the structure of evaluation tool;Confirmatory factor analysis was used to verify the reliability and validity of the evaluation tool.Through the above process,this study drew two conclusions.Firstly,the evaluation tool for labor competence of children aged 3-6 has great reliability and validity,which can basically reflect the performance of labor competence behavior of children aged 3-6 in the labor situation of cleaning up large blocks(such as charcoal burning blocks).This evaluation tool cover three first-level dimensions,thirteen second-level indicators and fifty-two behavioral performance levels.Secondly,the labour competence evaluation tool for 3-6-year-old children has been statistically analyzed for many times to prove that it is statistically reasonable now.But there are certain differences compared with the content envisaged in advance.Whether other dimensions or indicators need adding is still worth to further discussing.
