The development direction of the curriculum reform of elementary education is training students' key competencies and the development concept of which is the educational evaluation based on students' key competencies.The discipline competence is one of the competences that students should have.With the deepening of the curriculum reform of elementary education,new requirements for the cultivation and evaluation of the discipline competence are bound to be put forward.At present,there are few studies on the evaluation of the competence in the discipline of chemistry(CDC),especially for students of given grade in high schools.On the basis of references to the research of the relevant scholars,we defined the CDC as: The CDC is the stable psychological characteristic shown in the cognitive activities or chemical problem solving activities of chemistry discipline.The factors of CDC are divided into: the competence in using chemical terms,the competence in chemical experiments,the competence in chemical quantification and the competence in chemical abstraction.Combining with the detailed contents of high school chemical textbooks Required One published by the People's Education Press,we describe the content of each competence in the discipline of chemistry and the behaviors of students at the three levels of cognition,thought and practice and build the CDC system for Senior One students.Using the method of quantitative analysis,we design the assessment tool based on the Rasch model according to the built competence system of CDC for Senior One students.By selecting subjects,carrying on the trial test,dealing with the collected data by the software of Ministep,determining whether the assessment tool is in conformity with the Rasch model through analyzing a series of parameters,revising and improving the assessment tool,we formulated the assessment tool of CDC for Senior One students coordinated to Rasch model.The results show that:(1)Single dimension of assessment tool is acceptable.(2)The fitting degree of this assessment tool with Rasch model is high.(3)The reliability of the assessment tool is better.(4)The estimate error of the difficulty of the assessment tool is small.The item separation and the separation reliability are also within the reasonable range.So the assessment tool is basically idealized,which can be applied to test the CDC of Senior One students.
