The transition from kindergarten to primary school is a significant transformation experienced in the early stages of life.A scientific transition from kindergarten to primary school not only helps children adapt smoothly to primary school life, but also benefits their sustained and healthy development.Parents are important individuals in children’s learning and life, and their cognition, abilities, and emotions affect the process of transition from childhood to adulthood. In recent years, the psychological pressure of parents has become a hot topic of concern in various sectors of society. Therefore, understanding the current situation of psychological pressure among parents during the transition period between early childhood and primary school, analyzing the causes of parental psychological pressure,is of practical significance for alleviating parental psychological pressure and helping parents participate in targeted activities related to the transition period between kindergarten and primary school. This study comprehensively adopts literature review, questionnaire method, and interview method.Based on previous research,a self compiled "Psychological Stress Questionnaire for Parents in senior class of kindergarten during the Transition Period between Kindergarten and Primary School" was conducted on 385 parents in large classes from 6kindergartens in Qingdao. The research results are as follows:1.The relevant indicators of the questionnaire meet statistical standards and have good reliability and validity. The reliability is 0.927 and the validity is 0.948.There are five dimensions of psychological pressure on parents of large class children, including academic adaptation pressure, life adaptation pressure, social adaptation pressure, parents’ own pressure, and external environmental pressure.2.Overall,the average psychological pressure rating of parents of senior class of kindergarten is 3.17,which is above the average level.61.1% of parents have higher than average psychological stress during the transition period from early childhood to primary school, with 9.9% of parents having an average stress score higher than 4,indicating a higher level of stress. The psychological pressure of parents ranges from high to low, including academic adaptation pressure, life adaptation pressure, social adaptation pressure, parental self pressure, and external environmental pressure.Among them, academic adaptation pressure is the main pressure for young children.3.The psychological stress of parents during the transition period from early childhood to early childhood presents the following characteristics:(1)There is no significant difference in the total score and various dimensions of psychological stress between fathers and mothers.(2)Parents of different age groups have varying levels of psychological stress, with parents under the age of 30 experiencing significantly higher levels of psychological stress compared to parents over the age of 30.(3)The psychological pressure of parents with their first child in a large class is significantly higher than that of parents with their second child in a large class.(4)Parents of graduate students and above have significantly lower psychological pressure during the transition period from early childhood to early childhood compared to parents of undergraduate students and below.4.The main reasons for parental psychological stress include: differences in children’s individual development, parents’ subjective cognitive experience, and the objective social environment.Based on the above research, this study proposes the following suggestions: kindergartens should provide guidance on the transition between kindergarten and primary school,to help parents establish a scientific concept of transition between kindergarten and primary school;Parents play a personal proactive role in independently transforming the "negative energy" in the transition between childhood and young children;Establish and improve a social support system to effectively alleviate parents’ psychological pressure.
