Modern travelogue prose,as a genre for perceiving nature and showing the connotation of our excellent culture,is of great significance for improving students’ core literacy in language subjects.However,the current situation of the overall teaching of modern travelogue prose units is not optimistic,and there are problems such as the disconnection of holistic teaching,the singularity of teaching methods and the long-term absence of teaching evaluation.This paper intends to propose corresponding rationalized teaching strategies to address the above problems and present them with a complete teaching case design,in an attempt to provide reference and reference for the practice of holistic teaching of modern travelogue prose units.This study is divided into five parts:The introductory part contains the origin and significance of the study,a literature review of modern travelogue prose,unit holistic teaching and unit holistic teaching of modern travelogue prose,and a discussion of the research methodology of this dissertation.Chapter 1: Unit-whole teaching is a teaching mode in which teachers focus on the unit as a whole,comprehensively integrate all relevant elements such as objectives,contents,contexts and activities within the unit,and plan the unit task design in a reasonable and systematic way in order to cultivate students’ language literacy and language ability.Under the guidance of this pedagogy,this thesis takes the modern travelogue prose unit as the research object,takes Gestalt psychology theory,learning transfer theory,and constructivist learning theory as the theoretical basis,and applies this pedagogy to the teaching of modern travelogue prose unit in junior high school,which can systematically integrate teaching design and develop teachers’ teaching ability;deepen students’ knowledge understanding of travelogue and promote effective transfer;optimize and integrate teaching structure and It can improve the teaching efficiency of travelogue prose.Chapter 2: Through questionnaires and interviews,we investigate the current situation of the application of modern travelogue prose units in junior high school,and find that teachers are not clear in their teaching,and the integration of units is not strong;the creation of situations is rough and formal;the teaching methods are single,and the process of teaching activities is ignored;the assessment dimension is not sound,and it is difficult to promote teaching and learning.Chapter 3: To address the above teaching problems,this chapter proposes rationalized teaching strategies from studying the unit text to strengthen the integration of unit knowledge;building real unit contexts to connect with students’ reality;designing unit learning activities to enhance teaching drive;and improving unit assessment dimensions to evaluate students’ learning effects.Chapter 4: Take the overall teaching of modern travelogue prose unit in the second volume of Grade 8 of the Unified Edition textbook as an example,and design and practice the overall teaching of the unit.
