| Under the background of deepening teaching reform.It is very important to optimize the teaching mode and improve the teaching quality.Physical education and health class is the best stage for students to improve their physical education ability and sports skills learning in middle school.It is helpful to cultivate students’ lifelong sports consciousness and all-round development.The Physical Education and Health Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education(2022 Edition)issued by the Ministry of Education clearly emphasises that the direction of PE teaching should change from "knowledge and skills-based" to "student development-based",and it is based on inquiry-based learning to stimulate students’ learning.It is a kind of inquiry learning,thus stimulating students’ interest in learning and learn knowledge skills.In this study,The application scheme of 5E teaching mode in junior physical education and health course is designed from the aspects of unit and curriculum,and its feasibility is verified by experiments,which enriches teaching methods and provides new ideas for reform.This study mainly adopts literature data method and questionnaire survey method.The present situation of PE 5E teaching mode at home and abroad is analyzed,from which the ideas and ways of the study are determined.In order to understand its status in school physical education and health class,a questionnaire was compiled as a basis for teaching design.Then,using the experimental method,students from Year 7 Class 5and Class 6 of the Fifth Middle School in Laoshan District,Qingdao were selected,with Year 7 Class 5 as the experimental class and Year 7 Class 6 as the control class using the traditional physical education teaching mode.The students’ physical fitness,motor cognition,motor skills,interest in physical education,affective performance and cooperation were selected as the experimental evaluation indicators:(1)In the teaching design of the PE and health class based on the 5E teaching model,the teaching materials,learning conditions,teaching principles,teaching content and teaching evaluation were designed respectively,and the content around the physical and mental quality of students was examined in detail to set up a reasonable teaching design plan,which provided a teaching plan and reference for front-line teachers to provide teaching in junior high school.(2)Compared with the control class and the national physical fitness standard,the 5E teaching model did not have a lower physical fitness of students while focusing on the innovation of the teaching model.(3)The teaching design of the junior high school physical education and health class based on the 5E teaching model resulted in significantly higher basketball skill scores(marching two-handed chest pass,one-minute self-shooting,and half-court round-trip lay-up)for students in the experimental class than in the control class.(4)The teaching design of the junior high school P.E.class using the 5E teaching model was effective in improving students’ perceptions of physical activity,especially in terms of the essentials of motor skills.(5)The experimental class using the 5E teaching mode had a more significant increase in interest in physical education than the control class,especially in the areas of active interest.It shows that 5E teaching mode has positive effect on students’ interest in sports.(6)There was no significant difference between the experimental class and the control class,but there had obvious difference in the spirit of cooperation,indicating that the 5E teaching mode has a positive effect on the students’ spirit of cooperation.Based on the research results,the following suggestions are put forward:(1)Pay attention to the cultivation of students’ independent learning ability,improve students’ subjectivity,stimulate students’ interest in learning sports.(2)Teachers should be flexible in their choice of teaching mode and should make flexible arrangements when designing teaching according to the actual learning situation,teaching content,environment and other factors.(3)Optimise the arrangement of teaching content,increase physical exercises scientifically,improve students’ proficiency in motor skills,enhance their physical fitness and develop the habit of physical exercise.(4)Improve teachers’ professionalism,expand their teaching horizons,grasp the management and organisation of the classroom,smoothly guide students’ stage transitions,and make the classroom efficient and orderly while fulfilling teaching objectives. |
