| With the comprehensive victory of China’s war against poverty in 2021,further consolidation of the strategic results of poverty eradication has become a topic of continuous concern for the state and society, and increasing policy support for low-income families is also a favorable means to consolidate the fight against poverty.Among low-income families, children are relatively more affected by family poverty, and the state attaches great importance to the issue of children from low-income families, providing them with assistance in housing, medical care, and education through the minimum guarantee channel, which is used to help low-income families escape from their development difficulties.Through literature review,I found that the healthy growth of children from low-income families requires material support from the state, but also requires society, schools and families to pay attention to children’s psychological development and ability development at all stages.Interpersonal skills are a necessary skill for children and adolescents. In a study on children from underprivileged families,it was found that children are reluctant to interact with others, not good at refusing requests from others, not used to showing their true selves, and not able to resolve conflicts. Therefore, the author combines interpersonal skills improvement with social work and uses group work to help children from underprivileged families build up self-confidence and overcome difficulties in interaction,in order to improve interpersonal skills of children from underprivileged families.Based on this, firstly, children from low-income families in community X of Changfeng County were screened through the Interpersonal Skills Assessment Questionnaire(Chinese version),and the age was defined as between 10 and 16 years old,and 15 children from low-income families were identified as group members;secondly, before carrying out the interpersonal skills enhancement group work, children from low-income families in community X who were identified as members of the psychodrama group were measured on various indicators of interpersonal skills and the data from this measurement were recorded for later use;then six interpersonal skills enhancement group activities were conducted for the selected study subjects(15)and the process was recorded;finally, another measurement was conducted after the completion of the psychodrama group and the data from the before and after times and the interview records were compared to assess the changes in their interpersonal skills. This study showed that: 1.Poor interpersonal skills existed among children from low-income families;2.Psychodrama groups had a positive effect on the improvement of interpersonal skills of children from low-income families in community X;3.Group work methods had significant advantages in improving children’s interpersonal skills. |
