The resistance provided by traditional resistance training is constant,while the human body force generation will change with the joint angle,when reaching the weakest point of joint angle force,the body has to move with deceleration to overcome the external resistance,which affects the development of explosive power.However,existing studies still cannot adequately prove whether elastic band variable resistance training has a benign effect on the development of explosive power.The purpose of this paper is to investigate the effect of elastic band variable resistance training on the explosive power of lower limbs of basketball college students,to explore the training methods to better develop the explosive power of lower limbs of basketball college students,and to provide new options for the physical training of basketball.Thirty basketball college students were recruited and randomly divided into an experimental group(15)and a control group(15).The experimental group used elastic bands combined with barbell squats as a training method,while the control group only performed traditional barbell squats.Body composition test,lower extremity explosive strength test,and lower extremity maximal strength test were performed on the subjects before and after the experimental intervention.The results of the above index tests were used as dependent variables,and a two-factor repeated measures ANOVA of 2(group:experimental group,control group)×2(time:pre-intervention test,post-intervention test)was performed to verify whether there was a group effect,time effect,and time×group effect,and if there was a significant difference,a further simple effects analysis was performed to obtain the following results:Body fat percentage values decreased in the experimental group in the pre-test and post-test and were significantly different(p=0.001);skeletal muscle content increased in the experimental group in the pre-test and post-test and were significantly different(p=0.001),and no significant differences were found in other body composition indicators.There was a group×time interaction F=5.541,p=0.026,biasη~2=0.176 for the static squat jump performance in the experimental group,and there was a highly significant difference(p<0.001)between the swing vertical jump,reverse vertical vertical jump,and static squat jump performance in the experimental group in the pre-test and post-test in that order,and there was a significant difference(p=0.02)between the centrifugal utilization in the control group in the pre-test and post-test,and other lower limb vertical No significant differences were found in other lower limb vertical strength indicators.The simple effect of group was significant in the standing long jump measured after the intervention,F=4.316,p=0.048,biasη2=0.142,and there was a highly significant difference in the sequential improvement of the standing long jump and 10m sprint scores in the experimental group in the pre-test and post-test(p=0.003,p<0.001),and in the control group in the pre-test and post-test in the 10m sprint(p<0.001).0.001),and no significant differences were found in other lower limb horizontal explosive strength indexes.The deep squat 1RM scores and deep squat coefficients of both the pre-test and control groups improved with highly significant differences(p<0.001),but no significant differences were found between the groups.The study concluded the following.(1)Both elastic band variable resistance training and traditional resistance training can improve the body composition and increase the muscle dimension of basketball special college students,and elastic band variable resistance training is more advantageous.(2)Both elastic band variable resistance training and traditional resistance training can improve lower limb explosive power,and elastic band variable resistance training is more beneficial to improve the centripetal explosive power and horizontal jumping ability of basketball college students.(3)Eight weeks of variable resistance training with elastic bands can develop the maximum strength of the lower extremity of basketball college students,and the improvement effect is similar to the traditional resistance training.(4)Variable resistance training with elastic bands using 65%-80%1RM load for5 sets of 5 reps each was effective in improving the lower extremity strength performance of basketball-specific college students and can be used as a reference for physical training of basketball-specific college students.
