| At present,the number of retired soldiers in China has exceeded 57 million,and the number of retired soldiers is gradually increasing every year.Retired soldiers who have been discharged from the military and returned to their local areas will face many difficulties in the new social environment,and the most crucial issue is employment.The country and government attach great importance to the group of retired soldiers.In April 2018,the Department of Veterans Affairs was established at the departmental level to provide services specifically for retired soldiers and safeguard their rights and interests.However,the issue of employment difficulties for retired soldiers has always been a focus of social concern.How to use social work theory to help retired soldiers solve employment problems has also become a research hotspot for many scholars.This study used questionnaire survey and case interview methods to organize and analyze the employment adaptation ability of retired soldiers.259 valid questionnaires were collected through self-designed questionnaires,focusing on dimensions such as employment concepts,employment skills,interpersonal skills,and military civilian role transformation.The survey found that the current situation of the employment adaptability of retired soldiers mainly manifests as discomfort in changing military and civilian roles,high employment expectations,low recognition of skill training,and weak interpersonal communication skills.Based on interviews and research data,it was found that the employment problems of retired soldiers mainly stem from the following reasons: firstly,high employment expectations and a lack of long-term career planning;Secondly,the educational level is relatively low and employment skills are insufficient;Thirdly,poor self-learning ability and severe fear of difficulties;Fourthly,the employment environment is complex and there are stereotypes.Therefore,this article adopts empowerment theory and social support theory to provide case work intervention services for retired soldiers,and establishes professional relationships by understanding the basic situation;Obtain family support and change employment attitudes;Enhance self-efficacy and enhance employability;Linking social resources and providing employment assistance;Follow up and consolidate service effectiveness.Through a series of intervention services,we help retired soldiers improve their employment adaptability,enhance employment confidence,and solve employment problems.Finally,summarize and reflect on the case service,and propose relevant suggestions for social work to provide intervention services for the group of retired soldiers.The purpose of this study is to increase the professional recognition of social work,expand the service scope of social work,and provide some reference and thinking for the intervention of social work theory in the study of the employment of retired soldiers,in order to help retired soldiers solve employment problems. |
