| The lower stage of primary school is the critical period for students to read,which is particularly important to cultivate students’ interest in reading.With the continuous advancement of the new curriculum reform,the traditional teaching methods can no longer meet the individual needs of students,teachers need to change the teaching concept,update the teaching methods,and build interesting classroom.As an innovative teaching method,game teaching method plays a unique role in stimulating students’ interest in learning and promoting students’ active learning.How to effectively apply game teaching method to elementary school literacy teaching is an important issue urgently to be solved by front-line teachers.In view of this,this study investigates the application status of game teaching method in elementary school literacy teaching,analyzes the existing problems and puts forward corresponding suggestions for improvement.This study mainly adopts literature method,questionnaire method,interview method,observation method and case method.First of all,the literature method is used to collect and sort out relevant research results,so as to find a breakthrough point for this study.Secondly,it analyzes the relevant theoretical basis of the application of game teaching method in the teaching of low level literacy,and discusses the appropriateness of the application of game teaching method in the teaching of low level literacy in primary school Chinese.Thirdly,taking the teachers and students of X Primary School in Xiamen,where the author worked as an intern,this paper investigates the application status of game teaching method in elementary school Chinese literacy teaching through student questionnaire,teacher interview and classroom observation.Finally,based on the problems existing in the current situation,the author puts forward some suggestions for improvement,and takes the first volume of the unified version of the Chinese first grade text "Little Schoolbag" as an example to carry out the case practice of game literacy teaching.This study finds that there are the following problems in the application of game teaching method to elementary school literacy teaching: teachers’ understanding of game teaching is biased;The existing literacy games are difficult to meet the needs of students;Game teaching is confined to the form and the flow is more mechanical;In the course of game teaching,the classroom discipline is chaotic;Game literacy teaching effect is difficult to maintain for a long time;Students are not getting proper feedback on their classroom performance.Based on the above problems,the author puts forward corresponding improvement suggestions from the following four aspects: deepening the theoretical knowledge learning of game literacy teaching;Optimization of game literacy teaching design;Improve the game literacy teaching implementation level;Improving the evaluation and reflection of game literacy teaching.The above discussion on the application of game teaching method in primary school literacy teaching at low level hopes to provide some valuable inspiration and reference for front-line teachers to carry out game literacy teaching,and make a modest contribution to reducing the literacy burden of students at low level and improving the teaching effect of low level literacy. |
