Deeply integrating "knowing" and "doing" and attaching importance to cultivating students’ practical ability is one of the important directions of China’s educational reform,and it is also an important value pursuit of junior high school ideological and political theory courses(hereinafter referred to as junior high school ideological and political courses).The General Office of the CPC Central Committee and the General Office of the State Council issued the "Opinions on Further Reducing the Burden of Homework and Off-campus Training for Students in the Stage of Compulsory Education",the purpose of which is to liberate education from the heavy burden of taking exams and return to the original intention of comprehensively educating people and educating all people,which is not only an important background for the current teaching of ideological and political courses in junior high schools,but also puts forward new requirements and feasibility for cultivating students’ practical ability.The research in this paper mainly starts from the following four parts:The first part explains the reasons and significance of the topic selection of this paper,sorts out and analyzes the research situation at home and abroad,and expounds the research methods and innovations adopted in this study.The second part is an overview of the relevant concepts and theories.It includes four contents: first,it clarifies the background and value pursuit proposed by the "double reduction" policy;Secondly,the concepts and constituent elements of students’ practical ability in junior high school ideological and political courses were analyzed.Thirdly,the theoretical basis of the cultivation of practical ability of junior high school ideological and political students was analyzed.Finally,the importance and feasibility of cultivating the practical ability of junior high school ideological and political students under the background of "double reduction" are analyzed.The third part analyzes the problems and reasons for the cultivation of practical ability of junior high school ideological and political students under the background of "double reduction" through questionnaire surveys and teacher interviews.The fourth part aims at the problems and reasons for the cultivation of practical ability of junior high school ideological and political students under the background of "double reduction",and puts forward feasible strategies based on actual teaching.First,it is necessary to increase the importance of students’ practical ability cultivation,including: teachers should mobilize practical enthusiasm and improve practical literacy,form a perfect practice management system and scientific evaluation mechanism,and strengthen students’ endogenous motivation to form lasting practical motivation.Second,cultivate students’ practical ability based on the main position of the classroom,including: mining the genes of practical activities in teaching materials,strengthening activity teaching to enhance students’ practical experience,and paying attention to the reality of life to stimulate students’ practical interest.Third,actively organize social practice activities in combination with classroom teaching,including: scientifically setting the goals of social practice activities,accurately formulating the content of social practice activities,and strengthening the student body of social practice activities.Fourth,design practical homework,including: carefully designing practical homework to stimulate practical motivation,determining practical homework goals,selecting homework content,clarifying practical homework requirements,enriching homework forms,paying attention to practical homework feedback,improving homework evaluation,and jointly promoting the development of practical homework in the trinity of school,family and society.Fifth,strengthen the construction and quality assurance of after-school service practice resources,including: integrating labor education into after-school services to cultivate students’ practical ability,and building an after-school service curriculum system aimed at practical education.Sixth,improve the practical ability evaluation mechanism of junior high school ideological and political courses,including: accurate evaluation goals,comprehensive evaluation content,diversified evaluation subjects,and dynamic evaluation process.
