According to the basic guidelines of the "2017 Edition of the Standard for Music Curriculum in Ordinary High Schools",high school music appreciation courses should adhere to the correct political direction,promote excellent Chinese culture,inherit the spirit of national culture,cultivate students’ excellent moral character and sound personality,and shape correct values.As an important component of the content of the "Music Appreciation" textbook for ordinary high schools,Chinese ethnic instrumental music has a history that continues for thousands of years,reflecting folk customs and sentiments,containing national spirit,and inheriting excellent ethnic culture.Developing ethnic music culture is an eternal educational philosophy.School education has always been a focus of attention,and high school music appreciation courses,as an important way to spread ethnic music,not only develop and inherit ethnic instrumental music culture,but also cultivate students’ core music literacy.Instrumental music from various ethnic groups across the country has different genres,forms,themes,structures,and folk customs.Students experience the beauty of rich timbre,melody,rhythm,speed,and mode and tonality from the music itself,thereby experiencing and recognizing different musical images and emotions,and generating consensus to evaluate and discuss the humanistic connotations of the work.Appreciation of ethnic instrumental music can carry out multiple classroom music activities,encouraging students to think,practice,and create in the activities,accumulating experience in appreciating ethnic music,expanding artistic skills in music expression,narrowing the distance between teachers and students,highlighting the student-centered teaching model,cultivating students’ cooperation ability,and optimizing music classroom teaching.High school students have established a certain set of values and worldviews.In the process of participating in classroom activities,they can pay attention to ethnic instrumental music,deeply experience the joy of performance,establish confidence in national culture,cultivate patriotism,and broaden their musical horizons.They learn to tolerate multiple music genres,construct equal values,respect and understand the music culture of various ethnic groups,and let more students understand and inherit excellent intangible cultural heritage of ethnic groups.This article selects the teaching practice of ethnic instrumental music appreciation in ordinary high schools as the research object,conducts relevant surveys and questionnaires on students and teachers in Changshou Middle School,analyzes the current teaching situation of ethnic instrumental music appreciation,combines the actual situation with reference to literature,selects three sections of the music appreciation in the People’s Music Edition,presents the implementation and analysis of ethnic instrumental music cases,and explores teaching strategies for optimizing ethnic instrumental music appreciation,Stimulate students’ interest in ethnic instrumental music and improve their aesthetic perception of music.This study is elaborated from five aspects.The first part is an introduction,which consists of research background,current research status,research significance,research innovation points and methods,and clarifies the direction and value of the research.The second part is an overview of the teaching of high school ethnic instrumental music appreciation,including the definition of music appreciation and ethnic instrumental music concepts,explaining the importance of ethnic instrumental music appreciation,analyzing the proportion of ethnic instrumental music in "Music Appreciation",and the value of ethnic instrumental music in cultivating core competencies in the subject.The third part is a survey and analysis of the current situation of ethnic instrumental music appreciation teaching.Taking "Changshou Middle School in Chongqing" as an example,the survey design includes student questionnaires,teacher interviews,and listening records.The survey data is used to analyze the current teaching situation of ethnic instrumental music appreciation.The fourth part is the specific implementation case of appreciation of ethnic instrumental music.Before class,select the lesson examples from the People’s Voice version of "Music Appreciation",analyze the teaching objectives and evaluation,and present three representative detailed cases of ethnic instrumental music.Classroom teaching focuses on improving students’ participation,and the teaching content goes from shallow to deep,from listening and appreciating to experiencing,from understanding the creative characteristics of the work to cultural background,gradually completing the teaching objectives.Finally,based on the practical results,present students’ feedback after class and teachers’ reflection.The fifth part is a summary of teaching strategies and ideas for the appreciation of ethnic instrumental music,closely adhering to the core competencies of the music discipline.The strategies involve setting the core competencies of the music discipline as the teaching goal;Various interesting ways to explain the key and difficult points of teaching,and stimulate learning interest;Create a favorable environment for the knowledge of ethnic instrumental music and expand students’ knowledge.
