As one of the most basic rights of our citizens,promoting the employment of people with disabilities is not only a kind of protection for the rights and interests of people with disabilities,but also an important part of the development of people’s livelihood.However,the employment situation of disabled people in China is still very serious because of the low employment rate,poor employment quality and low income of the group.Therefore,it is of great practical significance to study how social work can intervene and help people with disabilities to solve the employment problem with specific countermeasures.This paper takes the employment of disabled people in County X,Province H as the research object,collects data by self-administered questionnaire and semi-structured interview method,and studies how social work can effectively intervene at different levels to help disabled people achieve fuller and higher quality employment based on feasible ability theory.Through the two research methods,we investigated the current employment situation and needs of people with disabilities in X County,H Province,and found that the employment service for people with disabilities in X County,H Province,is plagued by deviations in the employment concept of people with disabilities,poor work of government departments,lack of social responsibility of enterprises,and low professional intensity of social work services.Combined with the main measures implemented to promote the employment of people with disabilities in X County,the current situation of the employment of people with disabilities in X County,H Province,has been compiled and analyzed at multiple levels,and the author found that the employment of people with disabilities in X County,H Province,still suffers from four types of problems: the basic living needs of people with disabilities are not guaranteed,the enthusiasm for employment of people with disabilities is not high,the level of employment of people with disabilities is not effectively upgraded,and the employment information network of people with disabilities is not developed.The reasons for these problems are poorly configured basic livelihood security system for disabled people,the willingness of disabled people to be employed is not effectively stimulated,the employment training for disabled people is not effectively carried out,and the employment support network for disabled people is poorly constructed.Based on this,according to the "ability-willingness" analysis framework built in this paper,disabled people with different employment ability and different employment willingness are divided into four categories: incapable without willingness,capable without willingness,incapable with willingness,and capable with willingness,and the corresponding specific intervention strategies are proposed through four categories of social work interventions: relief,guidance,empowerment,and support.Intervention strategies.Firstly,to ensure the viable living ability of people with disabilities who are incapable and unwilling,secondly,to stimulate the willingness of people with disabilities who are capable and unwilling to work,secondly,to empower people with disabilities who are incapable and willing to work,and finally,to improve the construction of employment support network for people with disabilities who are capable and willing to work.By studying the employment of disabled people in X county of H province,this paper provides better ideas and countermeasures for social work to intervene in the employment of disabled people.
