| General Secretary Xi Jinping said,"Cultivating and practicing the core socialist values requires having role models in mind,which means learning from heroic figures,advanced figures and beautiful things,and cultivating good ideological and moral pursuits in the process of learning." As an important method of ideological and political education,role model education can help students cultivate correct political direction and good ideological and moral character.However,at present,with the high development of globalization and informatization,various undesirable thoughts and behaviors fill students’ lives,and students are also vulnerable to the impact of various trends in value orientation.Under such circumstances,it is more important for us to play the role of role model education method to help junior high school students,under the leadership of role models,to form a correct human attitude,establish a correct direction of life,realize their own life values,and form a life value that is in line with The core values of socialism.In the 2022 edition of the Ethics and Rule of Law Curriculum Standards,it is also clearly emphasized that "attention is paid to the discovery and use of advanced models and other role model resources among students and in the region,and students are guided to learn from the role models around them." This also points out the direction for the role model pedagogy.Therefore,using the great power of role models to influence junior high school students’ moral cognition and drive their emotions and feelings,and truly make students become moral people,can bring into play the fundamental role of Civic Education in moral education and finally achieve the basic requirement of moral education.Based on this,this paper investigates and analyzes the current situation of the application of role model education method in the teaching of morality and rule of law in junior high school through literature research,questionnaire survey,interview and other research methods,and finds that there are still some problems in the teaching of morality and rule of law in junior high school,mainly manifested as: the choice of role model is far from the actual students,the single way of role model education,the lack of learning motivation of students,and the practice of role model education.To address the above problems,we propose measures to solve them,including choosing effective teaching role models,enriching the teaching methods of role models,giving full play to students’ subjective motivation,and expanding the practice of role model education.Finally,based on the principle of unity of knowledge and action,the author selected the lesson "Be a responsible person" in the first book of the eighth grade and carried out the teaching design,hoping to provide some reference for the application of role model education method in the teaching of Morality and Law of Law class in junior high school. |
