With the rapid development of China’s economy and the rapid improvement of people’s living standards,the construction of the spiritual level cannot keep pace with it.How to improve the overall moral level and political literacy of our citizens,pool the spiritual strength of the whole nation,and escort the realization of the Chinese Dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation has become a closely watched issue of the Party and the country.Under the background of such a new era and new journey,the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China promulgated the Curriculum Standards for Ethics and Rule of Law in Compulsory Education in April 2022,which puts forward specific and clear requirements for cultivating students’ core literacy,and focuses more on the cultivation of junior high school students’ moral concepts,values and ideals and beliefs.As a participatory and experiential teaching method,role play teaching method guides students to improve their comprehensive quality imperceptibly in an intuitive and visual situation by providing a stage for active participation and display.This paper adopts the method of teacher interview and student questionnaire to carry out a practical investigation on the application of role playing teaching method in junior high school moral and rule of law classes in sample schools.The research found that there are some problems in the application of role play teaching method in junior high school moral and rule of law classes,mainly as follows: students’ participation in role play activities is not comprehensive;Classroom order is easy to be confused in role play activities;The creation of the situation of role play activities is unreasonable;The formalization of the evaluation link of role play activities.Based on this,the author studies and analyzes the current situation of the application of the role playing teaching method in the moral and rule of law class in junior high school,and systematically puts forward the application strategies of the role playing teaching method in the moral and rule of law class in junior high school by combining his own field observation and educational practice experience.For the research of application strategy,it is proposed to discuss in detail from four aspects.First,at the context level,we should integrate case resources and conditions and create a reasonable situation for role playing;Secondly,at the teacher level,we should improve teachers’ quality and ability,and lay a solid foundation for role playing;Third,at the student level,we should give full play to students’ subjective initiative and mobilize the atmosphere of role playing participation;Fourth,at the evaluation level,we should pay attention to teaching evaluation and reflection,and test the effectiveness of role playing.It is expected to enrich the theoretical and practical research on the application of role-playing teaching method in moral and rule of law courses in junior high schools,provide practical implementation strategies for the majority of teachers of moral and rule of law courses,and improve the overall effectiveness of teaching.
