| Nowadays,China’s basic reform of education has been deepening and developing,and with the introduction of quality education,the necessity and importance of mental health education for students has been highlighted.As China’s traditional culture and good character,gratitude education is an important element of mental health education.Domestic and international studies show that adolescence is a critical period for gratitude education,and gratitude group counseling interventions can effectively improve adolescents’ gratitude level,and gratitude has a positive effect on promoting individuals’ prosocial behavior,self-esteem,subjective well-being and academic level.However,there are still some problems in the current gratitude education in China,such as a single education model and lack of innovation in education content.Based on this,this study will design a gratitude group counseling teaching program for junior high school students based on relevant theories such as the emotional experience theory of gratitude and the broadening construct theory,so as to improve the gratitude level of junior high school students and explore an effective gratitude education group counseling model.This study is generally a design-based study.Firstly,the concept of gratitude,basic theories,characteristics and theories of group counseling were sorted out and summarized using the literature analysis method,and the theoretical basis of gratitude group counseling and application was defined;secondly,the current situation of 330students’ gratitude level in S Middle School of Nanchang City,Jiangxi Province was investigated using the questionnaire on the gratitude level of adolescents,and the existing gratitude level of middle school students in the school and the existence of After that,from the current situation and problems of students’ gratitude,a group counseling teaching program with the theme of gratitude was designed;finally,28 students whose gratitude level scores were in the low range were selected from the 330 survey respondents,and the designed group counseling program was used to carry out teaching research,and the teaching effect was tested by means of a questionnaire survey,and the data were processed using SPSS26.0,and the analysis led to the conclusions of the research were analyzed and suggestions and outlooks for implementing group counseling on gratitude for junior high school students were proposed.The results of the study showed that middle school students’ gratitude was generally at an intermediate level,and their gratitude scores were unevenly distributed across dimensions.The gratitude group counseling teaching program designed in this study had a significant effect on improving middle school students’ gratitude levels,and the teaching effect was sustainable. |
