On September 10,2018,General Secretary Xi Jinping stressed at the National Education Conference that it is necessary to "educate and guide students to advocate and respect labour",which pointed out the direction for the development of school labour education in China.In recent years,implementing the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s speech on labour education,the state has issued a series of labour education policies,and labour education has increasingly become an important part of the socialist education system with Chinese characteristics.Labour education should take educating people as the fundamental goal,and educating people should be achieved in practice.Therefore,labour education should be paid more attention to in primary school.The wave of rural revitalisation is sweeping,and labour education is very necessary to be carried out in rural areas.Labour education should start with children,so that the learning process has its special significance.The implementation of labour education helps to establish a correct labour concept for rural primary school students,and to cultivate them into builders and successors of socialist modernisation with Chinese characteristics.People lay a good foundation.This study intends to investigate and analyse the implementation of rural primary school labour education in S County,Jiangxi Province as the research object,and put forward countermeasures for the problems existing in primary school labour education in S County,Jiangxi Province and other rural areas across the country.This study randomly selected 510 students of all grades from 5 rural primary schools in S County,Jiangxi Province to carry out a questionnaire survey,and 147 teachers were selected to fill in the electronic questionnaire.The questionnaire involves five dimensions of cognition,emotional attitude,school level,family level and social level of labour.Through the distribution and recycling of questionnaires,as well as sorting out the interview results,it was found that there were problems in rural primary school labour education,such as insufficient understanding of labour,unscientific school labour education curriculum system,imperfect school labour education security mechanism,and close cooperation between home and school.The reasons for the problems in the implementation of labour education in rural primary schools mainly come from the four levels: country,society,school and family.In view of the problems existing in rural primary school labour education,this study proposes that the state should increase the allocation and investment of labour education construction funds,strengthen the supervision,evaluation and incentive mechanism,and expand the labour education site.At the social level,it is necessary to change people’s values to shape correct labour values,create a good public opinion environment,and strengthen community cooperation in labour education.Schools should strengthen the construction of labour education talent teams,develop characteristic labour courses,strengthen the construction of campus labour culture,strengthen labour education evaluation,and establish home,school and social coordination mechanisms.Finally,guide parents to establish a correct concept of labour,integrate labour education into life,and set a good example of labour.
