Labor education plays an important role in the historical process of human development.It is an indispensable link in the development of students.The rural natural environment and human environment provide conditions for the development of labor curriculum,and the state’s attention to labor education provides opportunities for the development of labor curriculum in rural primary schools.The study focuses on rural primary schools and investigates the basic situation,preliminary preparation,goals,content,implementation,evaluation,and other aspects of the development of labor curriculum in rural primary schools.Through a survey of 121 teachers and 305 students,as well as interviews with 5 teachers,the data analysis shows that the following problems exist in the development of the labor curricula in rural primary schools: the labor curriculum status of rural primary schools was marginalized.From the attitude of teachers and students,although rural teachers are favourable and willing to participate in the development of labor curriculum,most teachers say that their participation in the development of labor curriculum increases their schoolwork burden.In the preliminary preparation of labor curriculum development,rural primary schools were unable to establish a cooperative development mechanism.The main body of development was limited to the participation of school teachers or college teachers,and most rural primary schools did not investigate the interests and needs of students.In the establishment of the goal of labor curriculum,the goal of labor curriculum is to establish the instrumentalization,pay attention to the simple labor knowledge and skill acquisition,resulting in the phenomenon of "labor without childbearing" or "childbearing without work";In the selection of the content of the labor curriculum,the content of the labor curriculum is narrow,and the development and utilization of local labor resources are insufficient.In the implementation of the labor curriculum,the implementation path is single.It is obvious that the implementation of the labor curriculum in rural primary schools focuses on classroom teaching or school practice.There are few labor education activities,and the labor education environment is "de-naturalized." The singularity of course evaluation is mainly manifested in the singleness of evaluation subject,the singleness of evaluation content and the singleness of evaluation mode.Therefore,it is very important to explore the development of labor curriculum and its countermeasures in rural primary schools.First of all,we should create a good environment for the development of labor curriculum that is,create a good social labor style;Strengthen overall coordination and improve the guarantee system for curriculum development;To reconstruct the teachers’ knowledge of labor curriculum and enhance the development of curriculum.Close contact between home and school,change parents’ view of labor education.Secondly,the preparation work before the development of labor curriculum is perfected,that is,to determine the main body of labor curriculum development in rural primary schools and to conduct detailed research on students.Thirdly,the paper discusses the strategy of labor curriculum development in rural primary schools from the elements of labor curriculum development.That is,to realize the localization of labor curriculum based on village culture and rural students;Multidimensional development of curricular objectives to establish the educational concept of holographic education.Second,based on the village,organization of labor curriculum content.That is,deepen the content of the labor curriculum and enhance students’ willingness to work;Pay attention to the village environment and closely connect students’ daily lives;Develop local labor curriculum resources and construct special labor curriculum content.Thirdly,go to the countryside and explore the implementation of labor curriculum.Explore new ways of curriculum implementation to stimulate students’ labor interest;Actively organize physical labor education activities to strengthen the work experience;Towards nature and society,broaden the field of labor curriculum implementation.Fourth,improve the course evaluation and strengthen the feedback function of evaluation.That is,evaluation subject diversified,evaluation content diversified,evaluation mode diversified.
