Education is the foundation of a nation,and labor is the basic need for human survival and progress.Labor education is a way to cultivate people’s labor knowledge,abilities and values,and it is also an essential part of all-round development.As the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council have comprehensively arranged labor education in universities,middle and primary schools in the new era,labor education has gradually become the focus of attention,and rural labor education has also attracted the attention of researchers.The elementary school is a critical period of human development,and it points to the future study,mental and physical preparation period,which plays an important role in one’s life,and equal attention should be paid to labor education at the elementary level.The rural region has advantages in land.Although some rural primary schools run labor education courses,the overall situation is worrying.This study investigates the status quo of labor education in rural primary schools,analyzes its problems and causes,and puts forward specific suggestions from four aspects: national policies,local governments,schools and individual teachers,hoping to provide references for the development of labor education in rural primary schools.This research is based on the literature method,taking the rural primary school teachers in C County,Chongqing City as the research object,using the questionnaire survey method and the interview method to analyze the existing problems and their causes.The study found that the main content of labor education in rural primary school labor education is scatter and lack of age appropriateness;single way,a low rate of course options,;single evaluation index,lack of evaluation by parents and peers;loose organization,lack of specialized teaching staff,and lack of space,funding,teacher training and other guarantees.After analysis,the reason lies in the lack of scientific understanding,the influence of examination-oriented education,the marginalization of labor education and the insufficient resources for the implementation of relevant policies.Based on the above analysis,it can be improved from the following four levels,and the national level is to formulate labor education curriculum standards;strengthen the construction of the evaluation system;create a social atmosphere that upholds labor.The education base and practice platform provided by the local government for the school,improving the management mechanism,and provide a solid guarantee for the school.The school makes full use of curriculum resources,strengthens curriculum development,strengthens campus culture construction and constructs curriculum development community around labor education.Teachers strengthen the knowledge and understanding of labor education,and advocate the implementation path of labor education with students as the main body.
