The world today is undergoing profound changes unseen in a century.Ethnic issues continue to affect global peace and development.In order to cope with the risks and challenges at home and abroad and move China toward a stage of high-quality development,it is all the more important to build a strong sense of community for the Chinese nation and gather the great spiritual strength of the Chinese people of all ethnic groups.As a course that presents the development process of Chinese and foreign history and improves humanistic quality,the history course plays an important role in guiding students to understand the diversified integrated pattern of the Chinese nation and to forge the sense of community for the Chinese nation(SCCN).The junior high school history textbooks compiled by the Ministry of Education play an important role of carrier to implement national policies and curriculum standards and to carry out the education of the SCCN.Therefore,it is of great significance to explore the educational content of the SCCN in the junior high school history textbooks compiled by the Ministry of Education.The SCCN is the consensus collective identity of positive cognition,emotion and behavior trend of the Chinese nation community formed by various ethnic groups in the historical process of constant exchanges and integration in the aspects of history,politics,economy,culture and social life.It is an important spiritual force for safeguarding national unity and ethnic unity.This paper constructs the content analysis framework of education of the SCCN on the basis of literature research,which includes 5 primary categories and 14 secondary categories.Among them,the primary categories include five dimensions: historical community of common destiny,national political community,economic community,spiritual and cultural community and social life community.Each primary category also contains several secondary categories.The historical community of common destiny includes three secondary categories,namely historical origin,historical struggle and historical mission.The national political community includes political idea,political norm and political practice.The economic community includes benefit reciprocity and sharing and economic aid.The spiritual and cultural community includes traditional virtue,ideology and national spirit.The social life community includes living space,living customs and interaction activities.This paper uses the content analysis method based on the constructed content analysis framework of education of the SCCN to sort out and analyze the junior high school history textbooks compiled by the Ministry of Education.The research has three conclusions.In terms of the number of integration,there are 398 subject bodies and columns containing the educational content of the SCCN in the textbooks,accounting for 29.90% of the total subject bodies and columns,and the frequency of the educational content of the SCCN is 587,which reflects the high importance attached to the education of the SCCN in the junior high school history textbooks compiled by the Ministry of Education.It shows the will of the nation.In terms of the content of integration,the content of education of the SCCN in the textbooks is rich and diversified,especially the content of national political community and spiritual and cultural community.In terms of the way of integration,the textbooks present relevant contents in the way of combining unit themes and basic elements,historical facts and historical explanations.It is conducive to systematically and scientifically cultivating students’ consciousness of Chinese nation community.Based on the research conclusions,this paper puts forward corresponding suggestions of textbook compilation and textbook use.In terms of textbook compilation,it is suggested to appropriately add the education content of economic interest community and social life community in the textbook through relevant units,and appropriately add the education content of the SCCN presented from the perspective of ordinary people through column system.In terms of the use of textbooks,it is suggested that teachers should take into account the theme teaching and basic element mining of the SCCN according to the structure and content of the textbooks,and use historical facts and historical explanations in textbooks to enhance students’ rational cognition and emotional identification of the Chinese nation community.
