Educational drama is an educational method that primarily uses theatrical performance as the main means and aims to cultivate students’ comprehensive qualities such as personality,emotion,expression,and innovation.Through drama performance,it enables students to experience,feel,express and communicate in simulated situations,stimulates students’ reading interest,and improves understanding,imagination and aesthetic ability.Applying the teaching method of educational drama to primary school Chinese reading teaching can help students deeply understand the content of the article,sort out the story plot,experience the emotions of the characters,and comprehend the theme of the article.As a teaching method that emphasizes student experience,physical participation,improvisation,and process learning,its educational ideas have forward-looking and practical significance for current teaching reform.The "Chinese Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education(2022 Edition)" clearly proposes to create a real and meaningful learning situation,highlighting the practicality of Chinese learning.Educational drama can better meet the requirements of learning situations in the new curriculum standards by creating dramatic conflicts or creating dilemma situations.However,through on-site observation of frontline classroom teaching,it was found that there are problems with the application of educational drama as a teaching method,such as a single practical form,a lack of stability in controlling teaching duration,and a lack of organizational process implementation.The combination of primary school Chinese reading teaching and educational drama still lacks specific strategies and suggestions.On the basis of literature analysis and observation methods,this article combines case analysis to conduct research.By analyzing the appropriateness of the application of educational drama in primary school Chinese reading teaching,the scope,principles,processes,and strategies of the application of educational drama were sorted out.Finally,two reading teaching cases are combined to provide a detailed explanation of the application strategies of educational drama.The introduction part combs the concept and value of educational drama as well as the related research in primary school Chinese subject by consulting relevant literature at home and abroad.Chapter 2 defines the concepts of educational drama and primary school Chinese reading teaching,elaborates on the theories of multiple intelligences,constructivism,and theatrical learning,laying the theoretical foundation for this study.The third and fourth chapters are based on the "Chinese Language Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education(2022 Edition)" and the primary school Chinese language textbooks compiled by the Ministry of Education.Firstly,they analyze the appropriateness of applying educational drama in primary school Chinese language reading teaching from a theoretical perspective,mainly from three dimensions: reading teaching objectives,reading teaching content,characteristics and needs of primary school students.And summarized the application principles: based on students’ core literacy,ensuring students’ subjectivity,and combining fun and experience.At the same time,the application scope,principles,and processes of educational drama in primary school Chinese reading teaching were summarized from a practical perspective.It was clarified that educational drama is suitable for teaching fairy tales,fables,novels,and folk stories,as well as for articles on student growth,character quality,and themes of human and nature.At the same time,summarize the common application processes of educational drama.Based on the characteristics of primary school Chinese reading teaching,a more operational application process for educational drama has been proposed,which includes the warm-up stage,scenario creation stage,text sorting stage,role interpretation stage,and sharing and discussion stage.Chapter 5 summarizes the application strategies of educational drama in primary school Chinese reading teaching from a practical perspective.Preparation strategies include changing the role of teachers,balancing course types and content,paying attention to student characteristics and differences,and preparing props and venues;The design strategy revolves around teaching objectives,teaching content,and character plots;The implementation strategies mainly include: establishing a suitable teaching environment,agreeing on class order and rules,and developing interesting drama games;Evaluation strategies include valuing the diversity of evaluation subjects,adhering to the diversity of evaluation methods,and formulating scientific and systematic evaluation standards.Chapter 6 selects two reading teaching cases and provides a detailed explanation of the application process and strategies of educational drama from the perspectives of textbook analysis,teaching design,and case analysis of teaching effectiveness construction.Confirmed the application effect of educational drama in primary school Chinese reading teaching,and provided some experience and inspiration for reference.In summary,based on the relevance of educational drama to primary school Chinese reading teaching,this article summarizes the scope,principles,processes,and strategies of the application of educational drama,and provides some reference ideas and methods.It helps to improve the Chinese literacy and comprehensive quality of primary school students,and promotes the improvement and innovation of primary school Chinese reading teaching.
