Under the background of the new curriculum reform and double reduction policy,the development of basic education has shown a good trend.In September 2019,the nationwide promotion of the use of textbooks edited by the Ministry of Unification began.The biggest change is the large increase in the length of classical Chinese.Subsequently,how to better carry out the teaching of classical Chinese reading is a difficult problem for front-line teachers.Drama in Education is a teaching method that uses drama methods and drama elements to achieve educational purposes.Drama in education is in line with Chinese subjects in many aspects,and also in line with the concept of quality education.In view of this,drama in education applied to the teaching of classical Chinese reading in primary schools.To explore whether the application of drama in education to primary school classical Chinese reading teaching can improve the current situation of primary school classical Chinese reading teaching;what kind of learning effect the drama in education teaching method brings to students' learning.This research mainly adopts the action research method.First of all,before the formal research,a large number of relevant literatures such as classical Chinese reading teaching and drama in education are consulted,and interviews are conducted with front-line teachers of S primary school and students in middle and senior grades to understand the current situation and existing problems of classical Chinese reading teaching.To solve the problem,use drama in education as a teaching method in primary school classical Chinese reading teaching.Secondly,choose the theory of learning by doing,constructivism theory,multiple intelligences theory,and reception aesthetics theory as theoretical discussions.Finally,choose the appropriate drama in education model and action research model and design two rounds of teaching design with a total of 6 class hours according to the requirements of the Chinese curriculum standards and the classical Chinese teaching objectives of each class.Each round is carried out in accordance with the four steps of "clarification of the question-proposing hypothesis-teaching action-reflection and summary".Through two rounds of teaching action research,the following conclusions are drawn:applied drama in education in classical Chinese reading teaching in primary schools has improved the current situation of classical Chinese reading teaching in primary schools;Stimulate students' interest in learning;It improves students' ability.The suggestions of applying drama in education to classical Chinese reading teaching in primary schools are as follows: teachers need to change their teaching concepts;Closely combine educational drama and classical Chinese reading teaching design;Combine reading and writing activities;Construct the teaching situation of classical Chinese reading.
