The As a part of the excellent Chinese tradition,literary texts have an important role in cultivating aesthetics and promoting traditional culture.However,the current educational practice in the field of teaching literary texts shows that students are not interested in learning literary texts and the classroom is dull.Focusing on educational drama method and narrative literary texts,the researcher investigates the effectiveness of educational drama method applied to the teaching of narrative literary reading.Relying on the role-playing approach in the educational drama method,this study designs a teaching model related to narrative literary texts in an attempt to combine the educational drama method and narrative literary reading and jointly explore its nurturing value.This study first adopts the literature research method to sort out the current situation of domestic and international research on "educational drama method" and clarify the connotation and theoretical basis of "educational drama method" and "literary language".In addition,the advantages of the educational drama method are explained.Secondly,we conducted a survey based on the current situation of teaching in a secondary school in S city of a province.The initial understanding of the basic situation of teachers and students was analyzed and explained.Again,educational practice is conducted.The author selected two classes with equal language scores in the first year section based on the midterm test results;two narrative literary texts--The Oil Seller and Sun Quan Persuading the Students--were selected based on the requirements of the Curriculum Standards and the Academic Standards for the teaching objectives of literary texts and the language elements of narrative literary texts required by the textbook unit guide.The experimental method was then used to develop the practice,prepare the relevant test questions,and write the corresponding teaching design.The specific steps were as follows: the content of the article Sun Quan Persuades to Learn was used as the pre-test to conduct a basic test of the literary level of the two classes to ensure that they were homogeneous classes;the content of the article The Oil Seller was used as the post-test for teaching practice,and the results of the pre-test and post-test were analyzed to detect the changes in word comprehension and text recitation in the application of the educational drama method to literary reading by comparing the results of the pre-test and post-test of the experimental and control groups.The results of the test questions showed that the test question scores of the students in the experimental class were higher than those of the control group.The positive impact of educational drama on the teaching of classical Chinese and Chinese,including word meaning comprehension,text recitation and other aspects,indicates that this study is significant.From the perspective of implementation as a whole,the educational drama method is more suitable for texts with strong stories and full character plots in the field of classical Chinese.Although the experimental research of educational drama method was affirmed by the teachers of S Middle School,the students’ participation was high,the classroom was active,and the students’ interest in learning was stimulated,and certain results were achieved.However,in the process of research implementation,affected by the actual situation,there are problems such as single sample,insufficient survey objects,and limited subject matter.
