Group Work Intervention In Construction Of The Peer Support Network Of The "Only-Child-Died Old People In City"

The aging of our population is accelerating,and the main population covered by the "One-Child Policy" has gradually entered the old age.Among them,the Only-Child-Died Elderly have been deeply traumatized in hearts,and have experienced problems such as inner self-closure,broken relationship with neighbors,estrangement from relatives and friends,and lack of spiritual world.A good peer support network can help the Only-One-Child Elderly get emotional support,transfer negative emotions and face life positively.In this study,the Only-Child-Died Elderly in X community of Taiyuan city were investigated,interviewed,analyzed and assessed their needs.Based on social support theory and group dynamics theory,group work methods and skills were used to formulate group plans.According to the real situation of the 6 service objects,we carried out nine group activities in six stages with the themes of "Homogeneous group","Self-knot","Neighborhood and friends","Spiritual world","Volunteer service" and "Review and summary",and committed to building a perfect peer support network for the service objects.Before group activities,scientific psychological assessment and needs assessment were carried out according to relevant scales.In the process of group activities,service plans were adjusted and reflected on the specific situation in time.After group activities,effectiveness evaluation and experience summary were carried out by comparison between front and back,so as to provide reference for future related practices.The results show that the intervention process of this group has positive significance and achieved good results in helping the Only-Child-Died Elderly to get out of self-isolation,gain peer support and understanding,and build peer support network.Through this study,the author found that social work professional concept of helping others,related theories,group work methods for solving the spiritual emotion,interpersonal communication and other aspects of the Only-Child-Died Elderly has a very important impact.Through the comprehensive record,summary of key points and review of group activities in the early,middle and late stages,the paper aims to provide referential advice for the follow-up research on the construction of the peer support network for the Only-Child-Died Elderly in the city.
