Optimization Of After-school Sports Extended Hours Service In Chongqing Liangjiang New Area Primary Schools In The Context Of "Double Reduction" Policy

In July 2021,the General Office of the CPC Central Committee and the General Office of the State Council issued the Opinions on Further Reducing the Burden of Homework and Off-Campus Training on Students in Compulsory Education,which clearly proposed that students in compulsory education should be "relieved of the burden" and that improving the physical quality of students should be a fundamental task,and that cultivating high-quality talents with "five educations" should be the mission of education.The "five education" and high quality talent as the mission of the times to education.With the implementation of the "double reduction" policy,elementary school in Chongqing’s Liangjiang New Area have taken the initiative to carry out after-school sports extension services under the leadership of government departments to assist parents in taking over their children’s problems and promote students’ healthy physical and mental development.However,due to the short time of the "double reduction" policy,there are still many practical problems to be solved in the concrete implementation measures.Based on this study,students,teachers,leaders and parents of five elementary school in Chongqing Liangjiang New Area were selected as the subjects of the study.The following main conclusions were drawn.(1)The overall situation of the five elementary schools surveyed in Chongqing Liangjiang New Area to carry out after-school PE extended hours service is good,most teachers and students are satisfied with the after-school PE extended hours service,and more parents have a neutral attitude.(2)After-school sports extended hours services are mainly carried out in 60-90 minutes,in the form of interest groups,with medium intensity,and taught by teachers from our school and outside,but mainly by teachers from our school.(3)The majority of students are interested in after-school sports extended hours service,and participate in after-school sports extended hours service mainly for the purpose of physical fitness,learning and improving motor skills,and enhancing the relationship between small partners.The programs with higher participation in after-school sports extended hours service are basketball,soccer,and badminton,but girls prefer performance and flexibility programs,while boys prefer competitive and confrontational competition sports.(4)The implementation of after-school physical education extended hours service in elementary school in Chongqing Liangjiang New Area is plagued by a single source of funding,lack of equipment and venues,weak teachers,poor program arrangements,and safety hazards for students participating in after-school physical education extended hours service.(5)The optimization of after-school physical education service in Chongqing Liangjiang New Area Primary School is based on the strategies of "one school,one product" to highlight the characteristics of campus physical education,giving full play to the enthusiasm of all parties to broaden the funding sources,focusing on multiple stakeholders to improve the evaluation mechanism,improving the quality of the teacher team for professional skills,and meeting the diversified needs of students to innovate the service content.
