The patrilineal family system has always been strictly maintained in rural China.Marriage between male take a wife and female get marriied is absolutely dominant.It is often difficult for a rural matrilocal son-in-law to get the recognition and respect he deserves in the family,family and community.Uxorilocal marriage with a husband is usually regarded as a "outlier" form of marriage.On the one hand,the rural matrilocal son-in-law in rural areas has been influenced by the feudal ideology that "men are superior to women" for a long time,and on the other hand,he has to face the dilemma of "women are strong and men are weak" in real life.Confused state,which in turn affects their quality of life.Judging from the existing research,there are few studies that focus on the self-identity of this group,and even less studies that use casework intervention to explore ways to improve their self-identity.Therefore,this study has important theoretical and practical significance.First of all,the author reviews and summarizes the relevant academic research conducted by scholars from the social,family and personal aspects of the rural matrilocal son-in-law,and focuses on the definition of self-identity,measurement standards,influencing mechanisms,and social work intervention in different groups of self-identity,etc.Relevant studies have been referenced and studied,and the basic research framework of this study has been formed based on the dominant perspective theory and social support theory.Secondly,this study conducted in-depth interviews with 8 local rural matrilocal son-in-laws in L Village,Shaanxi Province,and measured their self-identity levels with scales,thus presenting the status quo of self-identity of the rural matrilocal son-in-laws in this village,and from The self-identity of the rural matrilocal son-in-law in rural areas is analyzed from three aspects: self-image identification,self-worth identification and group role identification.The study found that the self-identity of rural matrilocal son-in-law is mostly at a low level,and self-identity crisis is prone to occur.Rural matrilocalson-in-law often has negative self-evaluation,contradictions between ambition and reality,and resistance to interpersonal communication.Based on the above analysis,this study analyzes the relevant factors that affect the status quo of self-identification of rural surnames from three dimensions.The study found that from the two aspects of individual psychological factors,the uniqueness of self-temperament and personality and the difference in one’s own ability level,the two aspects of family factors,the functioning of the original family and the interaction of the matriarchal family,and the social factors,the importance of life events The three aspects of occurrence,traditional cultural changes and community support network,a total of three dimensions and seven aspects have different degrees of impact on the self-identity of rural matrilocal husband-in-law.Thirdly,in order to explore an effective way to improve the self-identity of the rural matrilocal son-in-law,this study selected a typical case from the interviewees to carry out the self-identity casework intervention research.This study draws up a corresponding service plan through the needs assessment of the client,adopts strategies such as tapping the advantages of the client,enhancing self-confidence,and enhancing family and community support functions to enhance their self-growth in the life process and confidence in facing future life,through the evaluation,it is found that the casework method has a more significant effect on improving the self-identity level of the rural matrilocal son-in-law.Finally,the author summarized and reflected on the entire text,and proposed corresponding improvements based on practical experience,namely improving the cognitive level of self identification among the ruralmatrilocal son-in-law family,improving the relevant system for the rural son-in-law group,creating a good community environment,strengthening the cooperation between social support systems,and further exploring the application of different social work models.
