With the continuous development of the economy and society,the physical and mental health of human beings has been paid more and more attention.In particular,the physical and mental health of children has attracted more and more attention from all sides.Whether children can grow up healthily is related to the development of children,their families and even the future society.Based on this,this paper will start from the case work practice method,combined with the literature method,interview method,observation method,scale measurement method and other research methods,under the guidance of social work values,the use of relevant professional knowledge,skills and methods to improve the self-confidence of rural left-behind children.Firstly,the rosenberg self-confidence scale was used in this study to measure the level of self-confidence of the left-behind children in S village,and two suitable subjects were selected according to the measurement results of the scale.Secondly,through interviews and observation gather relevant information,the research object and according to the theory of self-identity,the collected data,from the object of study of the individual self,the cognition of family relationships and cognition about the relation between and peer groups or schools to assess the object of study the causes of poor self-esteem and the demand;Third,from the perspective of case social work intervention,using case work related theories and skills,poor self-esteem problem of two subjects involved,guide the director found their own problems,inspire the potential of egotism,mining egotism,advantage and value change director cognition about the relation between self and around,so as to improve the confidencelevel of egotism.Fourthly,the process and results of the case intervention were evaluated.By sorting out the whole process,the process was evaluated from the aspects of service plan,social worker's role,and the relationship between social worker and client.At the same time,through the comparison of the scale measurement results before and after the intervention of the case and the feedback of the case owner and relevant personnel,it is found that the author's intervention service promoted the self-confidence level of both cases significantly,which indicates that the case intervention service is effective.Finally,this paper reflects and discusses the problem of insufficient self-confidence of rural left-behind children involved in social work.In the process of research intervention,there are some problems such as the single way of social work service intervention,the specialty of result evaluation,practical skills and case work experience to be improved.At the same time,through combing the whole research process,three relevant conclusions are drawn,which are as follows: it is found that the influence of personal cognition and personal and family relationship on self-confidence is inevitable,which are also two aspects that cannot be ignored in the research on the self-confidence of rural left-behind children;At the same time,it is found that the intervention of case work method can effectively improve the self-confidence of rural left-behind children and has its unique advantages.The mental health education of rural left-behind children needs to be paid attention to.Special psychological consultation rooms,reasonable mental health education courses and social work rooms can be set up to ensure the mental health growth of rural left-behind children in a professional way.
