In recent years,China has issued a series of documents emphasizing the importance of art education and the implementation plan of art education,including the "Opinions on Comprehensively Strengthening and Improving School Aesthetic Education","Measures for the Assessment of the Artistic Quality of Primary and Secondary School Students" and the letter of reply to the "Proposal on Deepening the Reform of Music Education in Primary and Secondary Schools",in which the importance of music education has been emphasized many times,and it has been clarified that music education can cultivate students’ good aesthetic ability and quality.As a branch of music education,choral education is one of the effective ways to cultivate students’ aesthetic ability and quality,so choral education plays a very important role in the field of music education today.At the same time,the "Music Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education(2022 Edition)" also emphasizes the importance of choral teaching,adds some requirements for choral singing,and clarifies its positive significance for students’ aesthetic education.Choral singing can make students feel the charm and expression of multi-voice music,and can cultivate students’ ability of hearing and pitch,at the same time,teachers can also cultivate students’ cooperation ability and collective consciousness in choral teaching,which will subtly improve students’ musical literacy and personal quality,so choral education is more and more valued by all walks of life.According to the characteristics of choral teaching in middle schools in China and the physiological characteristics of junior high school students,H middle school was selected for field research,and some common problems in choral teaching in primary and secondary schools in China were found by using literature analysis method,interview method and other research methods,and corresponding countermeasures were proposed.The first part of this paper first starts from the perspective of artistic aesthetics,and defines the concepts of choral singing and classroom teaching.The second part summarizes the historical development of songs into China,which has gone through antiquity,modern period,modern period,contemporary period;The third part summarizes the current state of choral teaching in junior high schools from the perspective of aesthetic education,and analyzes and summarizes from the aspects of goals and principles.The fourth part conducted a questionnaire survey on the choir class in H Middle School and analyzed it.Considering the above status quo and causes,the fifth part is based on the implementation strategy of choral teaching in junior high school under the perspective of school aesthetic education,and implements six strategies: optimizing the working environment of aesthetic education,stimulating students’ interest in choral singing,optimizing the teaching system of choral singing,improving the actual effect of choral rehearsal,and self-improvement of teachers.The sixth part reflects on the shortcomings in the implementation of improving choral teaching and summarizes the experience.It is hoped that through the research of the article,it can really help choral teaching to better develop and help in the junior high school music classroom.
