With the arrival of the three new reforms of "new college entrance examination,new textbooks,and new curriculum standards",the original teaching methods and methods of teaching with teachers as the core of the classroom need to be reformed to meet the teaching purpose of cultivating students’ core geographical literacy,implement the educational concept of "cultivating morality and cultivating people",and cultivate socialist successors with comprehensive development of morality,intelligence,physical fitness,and aesthetics.How to apply problem-based teaching,situational teaching,geographic practice,and information technology in the classroom,help students actively construct knowledge,and cultivate students’ core geographic literacy is currently an urgent problem that teachers need to solve under the "new college entrance examination,new textbooks,and new curriculum standards".This Paper explores high school geography teaching around the geography curriculum standards by using a game type in electronic games-simulation sandbox games as the main thread.This article uses several research methods,such as using literature analysis to summarize and summarize the value and application of game education at home and abroad,studying the geography curriculum standards,and sorting out the relevant concepts and teaching application theoretical basis of simulation sandbox games to clarify the research background and significance;A questionnaire survey was conducted on 414 students,48 teachers,and 50 parents selected from high schools and some teachers in Guiyang,including Guiyang Second Middle School,to analyze the market demand for the use of simulated sandbox games in geography teaching;Deeply explore the geographical and educational elements within simulation sandbox games,use statistical analysis and case analysis methods to statistically compare the fit between simulation sandbox games and geography education,and design teaching cases;Develop geography course resources based on simulation sandbox games,and provide development suggestions for future instructional simulation sandbox games.Through the above research path,the main research findings of this article are as follows:(1)Simulation sandbox games have strong innovation and attraction in geography teaching,and students have a high interest in geographical applications within simulation sandbox games.According to the survey,88%of students play electronic games.Among them,89% of students believe that simulation sandbox games can help them understand geographical knowledge and problems;82% of students believe that simulation sandbox games can be applied in geography teaching and classrooms.Therefore,games have a strong attraction for students themselves.Geography learning in games is a popular learning method for students,and it is also one of the best learning and teaching methods for students to improve their sense of immersion and immersion in learning,and achieve psychological achievement and satisfaction.(2)Simulated sandbox games can improve students’ geographical core literacy through teacher presentations and hands-on practice.By comparing the core geographical literacy and curriculum standards with simulated sandbox games,it can be concluded that students can explore and explore geographical phenomena and elements during the play process,and transfer and apply knowledge when solving real-world geographical problems.While cultivating students’ core geographical literacy,it helps them improve their understanding of geographical space,increase their enthusiasm for learning,and change their learning attitudes Enhance students’ metacognitive level and achieve the purpose and role of game teaching.(3)Through research on simulated sandbox games,it has been found that their degree of freedom and openness can help teachers collaborate with students on simulated sandbox games based on the content required for teaching.Develop geography teaching course resources and establish a geography teaching course resource library based on simulated sandbox games.Teachers and students use various modern educational technologies such as Arc GIS and 3DSMAx,as well as DEM to generate terrain,in the development of course resources,to improve their core geographic literacy and ability to use information technology.The compatibility of geography teaching course resources allows high school geography teachers to share,improve and supplement each other through the Internet,continuously update the geography teaching course resource library,improve the scientific nature of geography teaching course resources based on simulation sandbox games,and promote the resource library to never go out of date and continuously improve.(4)In the investigation and application development,it was found that the use of simulation sandbox games in high school geography teaching has certain limitations.The geographical knowledge and information of simulation sandbox games are not systematic enough,and the depth and level are not deep,which is not in line with students’ learning habits and thinking.Teachers also find it difficult to control the order in the classroom.In the survey,82% of parents,79% of teachers,and 75% of students expected the existence of instructional simulation sandbox games.Educational oriented simulation sandbox game software can alleviate and solve the above problems to a certain extent,allowing games to return to education.
