In the recent period,the era of knowledge economy and information has quietly arrived.In this context,countries all over the world pay more attention to the cultivation of innovative talents.The Mathematics Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education(2022 Edition),compiled based on core literacy,puts forward new requirements of "interdisciplinary learning" and "thematic learning" in the field of "synthesis and practice" of primary school mathematics,highlighting "practicality" and "comprehensiveness".It reflects from the side that STEAM education fits in with the theme activities.The purpose of this paper is to design and apply themed activities based on the STEAM education concept to adapt to The Times’ training of innovative talents,so as to promote the development of mathematics teaching theory,and also to provide some references for primary school mathematics teachers in the design of themed activities and teaching practice.This paper uses literature method,case study method,interview method and questionnaire survey.Firstly,the method of literature research is adopted to read and sort out relevant literature,clarify the status quo of scientific research at home and abroad,explain the connotation of mathematics themed activities and STEAM education concept,and analyze the feasibility and value of the integration of STEAM education concept and primary school mathematics themed activities.Secondly,based on the constructivist learning theory,the "learning by doing" theory,and the theory of multiple intelligences,based on the current model of themed activities,the design principles such as subjectivity,comprehensiveness and practicality are determined,and the specific process of designing themed activities for primary school mathematics based on STEAM concept is constructed.It mainly includes eight aspects: theme selection,objective design,content design,learner analysis,problem design,process design,environment design and evaluation design.Thirdly,a case was designed for application and implementation according to the specific process,and the effect analysis was carried out according to the paper and pencil test,questionnaire survey and interview.Finally,the following conclusions are drawn: Themed activity design based on STEAM education concept can improve primary school students’ interest in mathematics learning;Primary school math themed activities based on STEAM education concept can improve students’ efficiency in completing tasks;Primary school math themed activities based on STEAM education concept can cultivate students’ comprehensive literacy.And from the school,teachers and students three aspects of the implementation of the activity suggestions.At the end of this study,the limitations of the research are analyzed and the prospect is put forward.
