With the advent of the era of innovation,higher requirements have been put forward for educational inovation,and the cultivation of innovative talents is the top priority.The core of STEAM education is to solve problems in life through discovering problems in life,integrating knowledge of various subjects through hands-on practices,and realizing the use of interdisciplinary approaches to solve problems in life.The emergence of the era of artificial intelligence leads to the shortage of innovative talents.At this time,STEAM education,which can cultivate innovative talents,is introduced into China.Many researchers are engaged in the research of STEAM education,and many schools are also carrying out STEAM education projects in schools one after another,hoping to cultivate STEAM literacy and,innovation literacy of students.Regarding STEAM education project,the school has also taken many measures to strengthen teachers’ interest and enthusiasm in innovative courses.Teachers are sent out to study and observe,STEAM education laboratory is introduced,and relevant innovative projects are participated in to increase students’ interest.However,at present,STEAM education in China is developing very well in coastal areas,while in northwest China,there are not many cases for teachers to refer to.The author will analyze and design the integration of STEAM education and primary school mathematics.Provide a case for the majority of primary school teachers.This paper will take the inquiry-based teaching model as a bridge to integrate and analyze STEAM education and elementary mathematics unit curriculum.The author will design the teaching objectives,teaching resources,teaching process and teaching evaluation with the characteristics of STEAM education philosophy.The author will use two cases,"class health corner" and "the nature and significance of score" to illustrate the method of STEAM education and primary school mathematics integration.Finally,the author will use the case of 3D printing to illustrate how to embody the STEAM education concept in the interdisciplinary way under the mode of inquiry-based teaching.
