As a vulnerable group in community integration, the issue of self-confidence among orphans and disabled children is relatively prominent. In addition, due to changes in their living environment and the unique nature of their families, professional social workers are needed to intervene in the issue of self-confidence among orphans and disabled children who have relocated to poverty-stricken communities. As a social work ethics based on "helping others and helping themselves",the practical intervention of social work in enhancing the confidence of orphans and disabled children has important theoretical and practical significance. This study adopts a group work approach to intervene and explore the self-confidence level of orphans and disabled children in C community, and analyzes the reasons for the lack of self-confidence among orphans and disabled children from individual, family, and peer levels.Evaluate the confidence needs of orphans and disabled children from four dimensions: self-evaluation,self-efficacy,sense of achievement, and self-expression,providing empirical support and practical experience for intervention in the confidence level of orphans and disabled children. The results indicate that the collective activity aimed at enhancing the confidence of orphans and disabled children in C community has achieved significant results. After the event, the self-evaluation of orphans and disabled children has improved to a certain extent, feeling that they can never compare to others.Instead, they have discovered their own strengths and learned to positively evaluate themselves;Orphaned and disabled children’s self-efficacy increased, and their participation in activities in the early stage of the activity had the mentality of escaping to actively show their own strengths in the later stage, and explore their talents that they had never found; The sense of achievement of orphaned and disabled children is enhanced, and they gradually believe that success can be achieved through their own strengths such as diligence, bravery, and perseverance during the activity; The self-expression desire of orphans and disabled children has been improved, and the group members have gone from being introverted and nervous at the beginning, unwilling to express themselves,to being able to actively discuss and express their opinions in the end. This group activity has overall improved the confidence level of orphans and disabled children. However, there are still shortcomings in this study, such as a relatively single approach to intervention in service recipients, insufficient comprehensive service to the needs of service recipients, lack of guarantee for the continuity of intervention effects, and the need for further improvement in the unintentional "labeling" of activities. Finally, the author summarized the advantages of accompanying the group and reflected on it.
