High school ideological and political education is an important course to cultivate students’ ideological and moral cultivation,patriotism and socialist core values.In response to the problems of traditional teaching methods being monotonous,boring,and theoretical,digital simulation teaching has become a new way to improve the quality of high school political education.Digital simulation teaching uses computer technology and virtual reality technology to simulate real-life scenarios in a digital way.Students can practice and operate in virtual environments,engage in immersive knowledge learning and emotional experiences,and promote their initiative and subjectivity.This paper adopts a combination of case analysis method and experience summary method.It selects outstanding domestic and international digital simulation teaching cases for investigation and analysis,aiming to better understand the role and limitations of digital simulation teaching in high school political education and provide references for further promotion of digital simulation teaching.The paper is divided into eight parts.The first part introduces the research background,content,significance,and innovation.The second part defines the core concept of "digital simulation teaching" and conducts a literature review from three aspects: related research,application practice cases,and the relationship between digital simulation teaching and moral education.The third part presents the key issues,research methods,and implementation plans of this study.Parts four,five,six,and seven respectively introduce outstanding foreign teaching cases for political identity,scientific spirit,rule of law awareness,and public participation,as well as domestic resource cases that can be used for high school political education.The paper extracts models,provides teaching design ideas,and finally summarizes the advantages and disadvantages of using these cases for high school ideological and political core literacy education.Based on the case analysis results,the eighth part summarizes the previous sections,explains the existing problems,and provides suggestions for teachers,schools,and resource developers.This study finds that digital simulation teaching can be distilled into individual digital simulation mode,group(inter-group cooperation)digital simulation mode,group(inter-group confrontation)digital simulation mode,and collective digital simulation mode.The main existing problems are: difficulty in localizing foreign resources,loose connection between resources and high school politics,scattered digital resources that have not yet formed a scale,lack of mature methodology and experimental evidence,and limited teaching time and conditions in high school.Therefore,the insights and suggestions provided in this study mainly include: teachers should learn digital education technology and be willing to try new teaching methods;schools should provide information technology training and time-space support for teachers;resource developers should develop teaching resources that are suitable for high school political education and achieve resource aggregation and platformization.
