High school ideological and political courses occupy an important position in basic education,playing an important role in cultivating students’ ideological and moral character and shaping correct values.However,in the process of teaching practice,there are still some ideological and political teachers who are influenced by traditional exam oriented education concepts,and the teaching methods in the ideological and political classroom are single,which affects the effectiveness of ideological and political classroom teaching.In 2017,the Ministry of Education issued the "Curriculum Standards for Ideological and Political Education in Ordinary High Schools",which was revised in 2020.The new curriculum standards put forward new requirements for high school ideological and political education,requiring high school ideological and political teachers to improve their ideological and political classroom teaching activities.The thesis is guided by the "Curriculum Standards for Ideological and Political Education in Ordinary High Schools"(revised in 2017 and 2020),exploring the classroom teaching activities of high school ideological and political teachers.Secondly,analyze the impact of the new Curriculum Standards on the classroom teaching of high school ideological and political teachers,and propose that the new Curriculum Standards have guiding functions such as guidance,edification,cohesion,and constraints on high school ideological and political education,greatly consolidating the ideological position of high school schools,expanding the ideological path of ideological and political education,enriching the content of high school ideological and political education,innovating the methods of high school ideological and political education,inheriting and developing red genes,and practicing socialist core values.Subsequently,using case analysis and questionnaire survey methods,taking a high school in Xiamen as an example,several problems with ideological and political teachers in the classroom were analyzed and summarized: insufficient attention paid by ideological and political teachers to the new Curriculum Standards and poor professional literacy;Teachers’ methods of conducting ideological and political classroom teaching are not rich enough;The content setting of ideological and political classroom topics is not very reasonable;Classroom teaching expansion activities need improvement;The evaluation of ideological and political classroom teaching is not diverse enough.Finally,based on problem analysis,optimization strategies for classroom teaching of ideological and political teachers are proposed: strengthening the guidance of the new Curriculum Standards and improving teachers’ professional literacy;Deepen the guidance of the new Curriculum Standards and enrich classroom teaching methods;Guided by the value of the new Curriculum Standards,reasonably setting teaching topics for ideological and political courses;Enrich the teaching activities of ideological and political courses in the new Curriculum Standards,and enhance student participation;Adapt to the educational reform objectives of the new Curriculum Standards,optimize the classroom teaching evaluation system,etc.
