| College is an important turning point in a student’s growth.With the rapid development of society,the environment is constantly changing,which requires college freshmen to gradually transition from dependence to independence.However,due to their shallow and short experience,they do not have a correct and complete cognition of themselves,resulting in a lot of discomfort and trouble for freshmen when they first enter the school,such as lack of independence and self-care ability,discomfort in the process of interpersonal communication and so on.If it can not be solved in time,it will not only affect the physical and mental development of college freshmen,but also have a far-reaching impact on the development of adulthood.Therefore,how to help college freshmen adapt to college study and life as soon as possible has become one of the hot topics for college educators.Therefore,this paper takes the social work service project to improve the adaptability of freshmen in S University as an example to analyze the positive effect of social work methods on the adaptability of freshmen in colleges and universities.This article analyzes and summarizes the survey scale provided by S University and filled out by freshmen in the early stages of enrollment,while collecting data using methods such as semi-structured interviews.This article first provides a preliminary analysis of the causes of the adaptation problems of college freshmen,thus leading to the necessity of introducing social work concepts and methods into mental health education in universities.Secondly,the paper focuses on the entire process of group activities from member selection,organization,to evaluation.Using the professional concepts,techniques,and methods of group work,we hope to use professional social work skills to address the adaptation issues of college freshmen.Through participatory evaluation of group work,the results indicate that group work can effectively solve various problems that college students encounter during the learning process.At the same time,this article also discusses the particularity of social work,especially the impact of group work on college students,and thus conducts beneficial explorations. |
