A Research On Group Work Method Intervention In Freshman’s Adjustment Problem

The university stage is an important turning point in life, university freshmen will produce various aspects of adjustment problems in learning, life, interpersonal, emotional and even put an end to the college due to environmental changes. But the traditional entrance education psychological tests and psychological consultation for freshmen cannot have obvious effect on the adjustment problem no matter in the content、time or influence degree, the group work method as one of the three methods of social work can make up for the above defects, solve the problem of college freshman’s adjustment.In this paper, by using literature method, experimental method, questionnaire survey and semi-structured interview method, the author himself assess all university freshman’s adjustment problem of S university L college, come to know that there are6aspects adjustment problems as self adjustment, learning adjustment, life adjustment, interpersonal adjustment, emotional adjustment and academic adjustment,set up the experimental group and control group, and as a team clerk, by using the concept of professional social work, skill and method, carried out the group service in the six adjustment problems, in the same time, no intervention was given in the control group. And then through the process evaluation interview assessment and result assessment, the author measured the changes of adjustment problem between freshmen who participated in growth group and did not participate in the growth group, this paper combined the theory with practice, compared and analyzed social work especially the method of group work intervention in college freshman’s adjustment problem to question the effectiveness of group work, and analyzed the reasons in work principle, work skills, work method, work content etc. Finally summarized and developed the results.On the one hand, this research riches freshman’s entrance education theory in our country、 the school social work and adolescent social work theory by utilizing the method of group work in college freshman’s adjustment problems; On the other hand, it can help freshmen come through life turning point successfully、rich group work method practice and lay the foundation for group work method carried out within the whole school.
