With the development of China’s education modernization and the increasing overall planning of education informatization,interactive electronic whiteboards represented by Seewo whiteboards have gradually entered primary and secondary school classrooms in China.Seewo whiteboard is a professional teaching platform designed for interaction,which is studied in this paper to fully exploit its advantages in middle school biology teaching,solve the problems of encountered in the process of teaching reform,and minimize the waste of educational resources.This study explores the application techniques and positive effects of Seewo whiteboard in middle school biology teaching,which can provides technical reference for the front-line teachers to make courseware and micro-lessons and use the Seewo whiteboard for teaching.Through a questionnaire survey of 45 teachers in Jiangdong New District,Heyuan City,it was found that some teachers could not proficiently use the functions and software of Seewo whiteboard,encountered obstacles in the process of teaching reform,and had a narrow understanding of the development and utilization of the functions of Seewo whiteboard.Through a questionnaire survey of 209 students from School C in Jiangdong New District,it was found that students had a high acceptance level of biology teachers using Seewo whiteboard in class,recognized the utility of Seewo whiteboard,but hoped that teachers could improve their proficiency in using Seewo whiteboard.This study elaborates on the operation techniques of Seewo whiteboard in middle school biology cooperative learning classroom,and designs a teaching case of "Bird Reproduction and Development".Based on classroom observations of 5 teachers,the average evaluation scores of the goal orientation and achievement,classroom interaction,and student initiative were 1.70,1.67,1.60,and 1.93 points respectively,which were close to the full score of 2.Combined with the interview results of 3 observing teachers,it was found that the teachers fully recognized the utility of Seewo whiteboard in middle school biology teaching.Finally,a comparative experimental study on the application of Seewo whiteboard in middle school biology teaching was conducted on two parallel classes of Grade 7 in School C of Jiangdong New District.The Levene’s homogeneity of variance test of the pre-test scores of the two classes had a significance of p=0.20>0.05,indicating homogeneity of variances,and the mean scores of the experimental and control classes were 66.15 and 66.20,respectively,with no significant difference in the pre-test scores between the two classes.The post-test scores of the experimental and control classes were 65.81 and 59.56,respectively,with a mean difference of 6.25 points,and the significance was p=0.60>0.05,indicating homogeneity of variances.The comprehensive questionnaire survey results of the experimental class students showed that the application of Seewo whiteboard in middle school biology teaching can help students improve their learning enthusiasm and biology scores,and can provide teaching convenience and improve classroom interaction in cooperative learning classrooms. |
