With the rapid development of science and technology in China,information technology is gradually integrated into the field of education.China’s Education Modernization 2035 points out that the reform of education in the information age should be accelerated and new teaching methods should be explored.In the Requirements of Biology Curriculum Standards for Senior High Schools(2017 edition,2020 revision),it is clearly pointed out that information technology should be made full use of in the teaching of inquiry activities to improve the efficiency of classroom teaching.Seewo whiteboard is the interactive teaching platform independently developed by Seewo company in the era of information teaching.It is the product of the development of modern information education technology,with rich resources and complete functions.At present,most high school biology teachers are able to use Seewo whiteboard for simple teaching,but the integration and innovation of Seewo whiteboard with subject teaching are insufficient in the application process,especially for the application of Seewo whiteboard in the teaching of experimental inquiry activities in high school biology.This study adopts literature research,questionnaire survey,interview,PTA scale and teaching experiment method.Firstly,the author sorted out the research status of the Seewo whiteboard involved in this research and high school biology inquiry activities through literature research method,so as to determine the basic research direction,namely the application of Seewo whiteboard in the teaching of experimental inquiry activities in high school biology.Then,through the questionnaire survey,we learned that some students failed to understand the whole process in the biological experiment exploration activities,and some students failed to get clear results of exploration.Therefore,most students hope to apply Seewo whiteboard in high school biology experiment exploration activities.Most teachers also said that the teaching effect of Seewo whiteboard is better than that of traditional teaching.They think Seewo whiteboard is helpful to improve the teaching effect of biological experimental inquiry activities.According to the teaching model of experimental inquiry activities in high school biology assisted by the Seewo whiteboard constructed by the author,the teaching design of experimental inquiry activities assisted by Seewo whiteboard is carried out.In this study,two experimental biological exploration activities,namely "extraction and separation of pigments in green leaves" and "Observation of mitosis of tissue cells in root apical meristem area",are selected from the compulsory one of high school biology for human education version.Then teaching practice.After the teaching practice,the experimental PTA scale was distributed to the students,and it was found that there were significant differences between the experimental class and the control class in the scale score,indicating that the application of Seewo whiteboard in the biological experimental inquiry activities is helpful to students’ knowledge mastery,exploration ability and practical ability.Through face-to-face interviews with teachers and students,the author also learned that the application of Seewo whiteboard in the teaching of biological experimental inquiry activities in high school is helpful to teachers’ teaching and improve the efficiency of classroom teaching.Moreover,the classroom atmosphere is more active in teaching and students’ learning initiative is improved.At the same time,the author also found some shortcomings,such as teachers are not familiar with the use of Seewo whiteboard,and the functional resources in Seewo whiteboard need to be improved.To address these deficiencies,some suggestions are put forward,such as the school should organize teachers to participate in educational technology training,the Seewo whiteboard team should develop more teaching resources and improve functions,and teachers can also share high-quality resources.Finally,the author hopes to further study the effective combination of Seewo whiteboard and experimental inquiry teaching in high school biology.
