In 2014,the "Opinions on Comprehensively Deepening Curriculum Reform and Implementing the Fundamental Task of Building Morality and Cultivating People" issued by the Ministry of Education of China first mentioned "core literacy",and in2022,the "Biology Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education" was used as the basic concept of biology curriculum in junior high schools.The Biology Middle School Entrance Examination,also known as the Junior High School Academic Level Examination,plays an important role in balancing the needs of entering and graduating from school,.In recent years,the examination questions of the high school entrance examination have been continuously reformed,and the examination of core literacy has been increased.However,there are few studies on the penetration of biological core literacy in the middle school entrance examination questions.Mianyang City,where I am located,is a major educational city in Sichuan Province,and I have done a good job in the penetration of biological core literacy in the middle school entrance examination questions,which has good analytical and research value.This paper attempts to use the core literacy of biology as the starting point,and the 2018-2022 Mianyang Biology Middle School Entrance Examination as the research object.It uses literature research,statistical analysis,case analysis,and action research methods.Firstly,comprehensive statistics and analysis were conducted on the biological test questions for the 2018-2022 Mianyang High School Entrance Examination from the following aspects: question types,test scores,knowledge tests,ability requirements,and literacy type tests;Then analyze the four dimensions of core literacy in the biological discipline separately,discover the trend of change in the four dimensions of core literacy,summarize the characteristics of each dimension of the test questions,and form teaching strategies to strengthen core literacy,with a view to providing theoretical and practical reference for front-line teachers and educators.The analysis shows that in the past five years,the examination scores for the concept of life are the highest,the examination scores for scientific thinking rank second,the examination scores for practical exploration rank third,and the examination scores for social responsibility are continuously increasing every year,showing a steady upward trend,ranking fourth.In the past five years,the characteristics of the core literacy test in the biology exam of Mianyang High School Entrance Examination are as follows:(1)The characteristics of the life concept literacy test: infiltrating the life concept literacy with daily life and practice as the background or basic biological concepts;(2)The characteristics of scientific thinking literacy test questions: include scientific thinking in model construction,diagrams,and relational diagrams,or use students’ life experiences as the background to strengthen scientific thinking through practical examples;(3)The characteristics of the test questions for exploring practical literacy: The test questions for exploring practical literacy are widely distributed in genetic topics.The test questions emphasize coherence and incorporate the exploration of practical literacy into biological phenomena and research content in real situations;(4)Characteristics of the Attitude,Responsibility,and Literacy Test: Based on the hot social issues related to biology that everyone is facing together,it examines the application of students’ biological knowledge and social participation,as well as the responsibilities and responsibilities of students as newcomers to the era;Infiltrate attitude,responsibility,and literacy into agricultural production issues and ecological environmental issues,and promote the daily and realistic realization of knowledge;Integrate attitude and responsibility literacy into relevant theories and practical life,and strengthen the cultivation of students’ health awareness.Based on the characteristics of the above examination,the following teaching suggestions are proposed for the review of Mianyang High School Entrance Examination to strengthen the core literacy of biology: strengthen the concept of life by constructing a mind map and physical model,and integrate the concept of life into current events;Combine scientific thinking with classic experiments in the history of biological science,and combine the cultivation of logical scientific thinking with students’ autonomous design of experiments;Combine the cultivation of exploratory practical literacy with the history of biological science,summarize and organize exploratory experiments,and strengthen exploratory practical abilities;Analyze the sidebar of the textbook,strengthen attitudinal responsibility,and infiltrate attitudinal responsibility against the background of real life.
