With the deepening of the reform of history curriculum,the importance and ap plication frequency of historical materials in middle school history teaching are inc reasingly strengthened.In 2019,according to the "Common high School History C urriculum Standards(2017 edition)",the unified version of the compulsory high sc hool history textbook was rewritten.Compared with the experimental textbooks,th e history textbooks of the unified edition have made great changes in the empirical data of historical materials,and the picture historical materials as historical materia ls are no exception.Although many Chinese scholars have done a lot of research o n the new textbook and obtained significant results,there is still a lack of research on the picture historical materials of the new textbook.Based on this,this paper will use literature analysis,statistical method,investigation method and other research methods,from the unified edition of high school history textbooks picture historical materials selection survey and differences,application principles and significance,the status quo and problems in middle school teaching application and application strategies of four aspects of a comprehensive analysis of the unified edition of high school history textbooks picture historical materials.In the first chapter,the paper analyzes the number,size,distribution,color and source of the picture historical materials selected from the five new textbooks,compares the differences in the selection of picture historical materials from the five textbooks,and puts forward some simple teaching suggestions.The second chapter illustrates that the basic principles of intuitiveness,scientific,interest and objectivity should be followed in the use of picture historical materials,and expounds four important meanings of picture historical materials.The third chapter uses questionnaire survey to investigate the history teachers and students in middle schools,clarify the current situation of the application of picture historical materials in history teaching in high schools and problems encountered,and puts forward corresponding suggestions;In the last chapter,based on the current situation of the application of picture historical materials in the unified edition of high school history textbooks in middle school teaching and some problems faced by teachers and students in middle school,several strategies for the application of picture historical materials in actual teaching are proposed and corresponding cases are analyzed.
