The Mathematics Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education(2022 edition)proposes 11 core qualities of mathematics,including "geometric intuition".With the advancement of curriculum reform,the importance of geometric intuition in the process of mathematics learning is increasingly prominent,and the abstract mathematical problems become simple images with the help of geometric intuition.The history of mathematics plays an important role in cultivating students’ core literacy of mathematics,but at present,the phenomenon of "high evaluation and low application" appears in the integration of mathematics history into teaching.This paper studies the integration of mathematics history into teaching and cultivation of students ’geometric intuition,which not only gives play to the educational value of mathematics history,but also effectively explores the cultivation of students’ geometric intuition,so that the two complement each other and implement the fundamental task of "cultivating people by virtue".This study mainly uses literature research method,questionnaire survey method,interview method and experimental research method to conduct theoretical research and practical investigation.By sorting out the relevant literature of the history of mathematics and geometric intuition accomplishment,we can understand the research status of the history of mathematics at home and abroad,and clarify the concept and value of geometric intuition.On the basis of theoretical analysis,the author found the following problems in the current investigation of mathematics history into primary school mathematics geometry from the perspectives of teaching materials,teachers and students:(1)the quantity of mathematics history in teaching materials needs to be increased,and the quality needs to be improved.(2)Teachers and students’ cognition of mathematics history and geometric intuition needs to be improved.(3)Students expect to know about the relevant history of mathematics in class.However,teachers rarely use the history of mathematics in the usual teaching process.The author takes the sixth unit of the first volume of the fifth grade of the people’s Education edition as the research carrier,and conducts the teaching design of integrating the mathematics history into the teaching according to the problems existing in the current situation survey,hoping to achieve the purpose of improving students’ geometric intuitive quality,and uses the teaching design for the experimental class teaching,and adopts the traditional mode of teaching in the control class.The effect of integrating mathematics history into teaching on the cultivation of students ’geometric intuitive quality is verified through the change of students’ Pre-test and Post-test results.Finally,according to theoretical analysis and practical research,suggestions on integrating mathematics history into teaching:(1)the textbook should reasonably increase the history of mathematics and pay attention to the core literacy of mathematics.(2)Teachers should change their traditional teaching concepts and improve the cognition of mathematics history and core literacy.(3)Grasp the teaching links and cultivate students’ core qualities.
