"Compulsory Education Mathematics Curriculum Standards(2011 edition)" put forward ten core concept words,including "geometric intuition".In recent years,Geometric intuition plays an increasingly important role in the cultivation of students' mathematical thinking and mathematical ability.This paper tries to find a new teaching way to cultivate the ability of geometry intuition,through the history of mathematics into teaching design,give full play to the education value of the history of mathematics,effective exploration on the cultivation of geometric intuitive ability,so that the two complement each other and form a resultant force.This study mainly adopts literature analysis,questionnaire survey and testing method.By combing the literature and books related to the history of mathematics and the ability of geometric intuition,understand the development history of Chinese and foreign mathematics,and clarify the definition of geometric intuition.Given the above background,the following three questions are discussed:(1)What is the current situation of junior high school students' understanding of the history of mathematics and the ability of geometric intuition?(2)What is the teacher's understanding of the history of mathematics and geometric intuition and the current teaching situation?(3)How to design the teaching of geometry intuitive training based on the perspective of mathematical history?Through the questionnaire survey and test paper survey of teachers and students,and according to the results of the survey and analysis,the teaching design of specific topics is carried out,and the following conclusions are drawn:(1)Students' understanding of the history of mathematics is at an early stage.Although it is in a positive state to understand the history of mathematics,the educational value of the history of mathematics remains in the level of emotional attitude,and does not really appreciate the charm of the thought method in the history of mathematics.(2)Students' geometric intuitive ability is generally low.With the improvement of cognitive dimension and expression form dimension,students' accuracy rate gradually decreases,but the difference between different levels is not too big.From the perspective of concrete analysis,students need to improve the physical perception ability,the level of symbol intuition is low,and the transformation between geometry and algebra is not familiar enough,should increase the use of area cutting and complement methods.(3)Teachers agree that the history of mathematics has important value,but do not pay enough attention to the teaching of geometric intuition.There are even fewer attempts to integrate the history of mathematics into the teaching of geometric intuition,only involving the hot topic of Pythagorean Theorem.Teachers agree that the geometric method in the history of mathematics impresses students deeply,but hold a neutral attitude to the integration of the history of mathematics into the teaching of geometric intuition,because the concept is vague and it is not certain how complete this approach will be.(4)According to the problems found in the investigation,the teaching design of related topics is carried out,first,by integrating geometric solution in the history of Mathematics,watching the video of the history of mathematics to understand the development process,and adapting exercises based on the history of mathematics into design teaching topic "Solution of general quadratic equation of one unknown",in order to improve transformation and correlation between algebra and geometry,enhance the understanding of methods such as area of cut to fill;Secondly,by discussing the origin of history,geometrical drawing of mathematicians,and watching videos to understand the application of golden section,the teaching topic "Proportional line segment--Golden Section" is designed to enhance students' physical perception ability and improve their level of intuitive symbols.
