At present,there are a large number of left-behind children in rural areas of China.Due to the separation between parents’ migrant work and left-behind children,parents do not pay enough attention to left-behind children,so the left-behind children have difficulties in interpersonal communication and face development problems.As one of the three working methods of social work,group work plays a unique role in solving the problems of left-behind children and improving their self-efficacy in their interpersonal communication.Previous studies have shown that left-behind children’s self-efficacy in interpersonal communication is obviously low,and they need to improve their self-expression ability,flexible communication ability and understanding ability.Based on this,this study tries to use the method of group work in rural left-behind children interpersonal self-efficacy promotion practice research,based on the theory of selfefficacy and social learning theory,design group activities,explore the factors affecting interpersonal self-efficacy and effective ways to improve interpersonal self-efficacy.This study used a combination of qualitative and quantitative research,data were collected by interview,participation observation,questionnaire and scale,Recruitment team members through teacher recommendation and voluntary registration,after the interview and scale measurements,Finally,10 left-behind children with low interpersonal self-efficacy were selected as the research objects.Design of the group activity plan under the guidance of the self-efficacy theory,from the four ways of speech persuasion,success or failure experience,alternative experience and physiological and emotional state.Focus on the improvement of the communication skills,understanding skills and self-expression skills of the group members.There formed seven group activities,enhance the self-identity and self-confidence of left-behind children,improve the interpersonal skills of left-behind children.So as to enhance the rural left-behind children interpersonal communication self-efficacy sense.The study draws the following conclusions: First,improving personal interpersonal skills helps to improve self-efficacy.Through group work,improving personal communication skills,understanding skills and self-expression skills can effectively improve interpersonal self-efficacy.Second,effective measures to improve interpersonal self-efficacy.The improvement of self-efficacy in interpersonal communication can be achieved in four effective ways through positive verbal persuasion,expanding alternative experience,increasing successful communication experience,and sharing and discussion in groups.Through the group activities,the self-identity and self-confidence of the group members can be enhanced,and helping the group members to improve their problem-solving ability can effectively promote the self-efficacy of the group members,so as to achieve the purpose of improving the self-efficacy of the left-behind children in interpersonal communication.In order to make up for the deficiency of group work in the process of intervention and help rural left-behind children improve self-efficacy in interpersonal communication,some suggestions are put forward: first,the intervention of social work requires diversified ways;second,the ecosystem of service object should provide systematic service;third,the diversified group content can help rural left-behind children improve interpersonal selfefficacy,improve self-confidence and enhance interpersonal relationship.
