At present,in order to meet the educational needs of the era of informatization,knowledge economy globalization and lifelong learning in the 21 st century,how to cultivate the core qualities needed for the sound development of individuals and society has become one of the hot topics in various countries.The realization of the core quality of fine arts and the students’ deep understanding of the course need to rely on the change of teaching concepts and teaching methods.UbD teaching mode pursues "teaching for the sake of understanding",focuses on what ability students can achieve,pays attention to students ’learning,and takes students’ "understanding" as an important standard and scale of design and evaluation throughout the teaching design.The teaching design of the high school art appreciation course "Comparison of the Characteristics of Chinese and Western Traditional Painting" based on the UbD mode focuses on students’ deep understanding of the learning content,combines the UbD mode with the curriculum standards and requirements of the high school art appreciation module,and highlights the applicability and innovation of this mode in the course of art appreciation based on the learning situation.This provides a new idea for the high school art appreciation teaching,and also becomes a powerful grasp for the implementation of the core quality of fine arts.The paper is divided into six parts:The introduction part is mainly from the research background and origin,research purpose and significance,research status overview of domestic and foreign research,research methods and key points,characteristics and innovation.Chapter 1 is an overview of the UbD pattern.The concept of UbD model is mainly defined,and the relevant theoretical basis of the study is clarified.On this basis,the characteristics of UbD mode and its relationship with art appreciation are analyzed respectively,aiming to provide theoretical support for the design and implementation of high school art appreciation teaching based on UbD mode.The second chapter is the current situation investigation and analysis of art appreciation teaching in ordinary high school.Through questionnaire survey and interview with high school students and front-line teachers,the paper aims to understand the current situation of high school art appreciation teaching,and understand the views of high school art teachers on UbD model,aiming to provide data support for the application of this model in high school art appreciation.The third chapter is the teaching design of art appreciation in ordinary high schools based on UbD model.Through the analysis of courses,teaching materials,learning conditions and other aspects,the UbD model is used to design the unit course of the characteristics of Chinese and Western Traditional Painting,and compare it with the traditional teaching design.The fourth chapter is the practice and result analysis of art appreciation teaching in ordinary high schools based on UbD model.This part practices the designed curriculum and analyzes the practice process and results,and aims to provide experience reference for the application of this model in high school art appreciation class,so as to better promote the development of high school art appreciation teaching.The conclusion part analyzes and summarizes the achievements and deficiencies of this research,and puts forward corresponding research suggestions based on the problems in this research,in order to provide inspiration for the future relevant research,and provide reference for the improvement and development of high school art appreciation teaching.
